Will be in DLR from Monday to Friday - and will have approx 1000-1250 spending money - do you think I will need to organise (save, save save!) more?

A budget of £200 per day is very healthy. How many are going as part of your party?
Are you planning any special table service meals, character meals, souvenirs :goodvibes

There is 3 of us going - two adults and a toddler (3)

The amount I gave there is actually euros (should have made that clear!)

I think i need to do some more research about stuff we can do! We are staying in the explorer hotel so not too sure if they do character breakfasts?

Our first trip (1 adult and 1 child) was 3 days in the parks - I took 350 euros, and came back with about 100! That was paying for the VEA shuttle from and to the airport, a souvenir or 2 for DD, plus all our lunches, dinners and snacks (we had breakfast included with our hotel).

No, they don't ~ breakfast is a continental buffet (very nice) although you can pay a supplement for a cooked English. They do character dinners ~ but they are not Disney characters! :scared1:

If you would like a character breakfast you can book one at Cafe Mickey in the Village. Personally I prefer either a character lunch or dinner as I think they are better value, lots of DISers recommend the character tea at Plaza Gardens.

Have a look at our Restaurant FAQ sticky, also have a look here for ideas/menus etc. :)

I've never stayed in the Explorer hotel so I can't give you any advice on that, but I think you've got plenty of money there!

Hi, back from Disney since 2 weeks now, and the budget damage amounted approx to 600€ for 4 adults for 3 nights and 3 days in the park.
This was mainly for food as we hardly bought any souvenirs.
Restaurants that we went to were:
- Steakhouse in the village where we had the menu + wine & drinks
- Walt's also menus + wine & drinks
- Annettes where we had mega burgers & shakes / dessert
Add to that drinks in the hotel & village + lunches in the park (Pizza, Pasta, Fajitas)

We're there Monday to Friday next week, and our budget is €700 and not a penny more!!!

We have pre booked and pre paid for Buffalo Bill's one night and Cafe MIckey another, so in reality that money only has to buy us 3 evening meals and that's it!

We've allowed our almost 4 year old son €50 per day as his 'spending money' and the other €450 is just there really, for the 3 evening meals we require and whatever else takes our fancy.
As we're driving there we are taking plenty of snacks and drinks so hopefully our budget will be strictly adhered to!
