I am now working out spending money we will need. (Two adults, two children)
Breakfast is included at our hotel.
We will hopfully be annual passport holders so will get the meal and shopping discounts

Have worked out to take £80 per night to eat including wine, as booked some good restaurants (some may be more some a little less!)
£15 a day on snacks (hopefully won't need this as plan to take snacks in but an ice cream etc will be nice)
£30 a day spending money

So that is £125 a day (sounds a lot! but then it includes meals)

I hope I have over estimated but want to include everything we may want!

Does this sound okay?

Now is it best to take a bit of cash then pay for everything else on a credit card (pay off as soon as we get home ~ added advantage of getting Tesco points on card!) not sure how this works out with exchange rates? and is mastercard accepted?

Any advice appreciated

We paid eveything we could on a card with no problems. We did have some cash for snacks etc but used it so far and few between that we had to spend most of it on the last day. We also found you spent less using a card as you only bought what you needed and didn't always spend your allocation for each day.

I'm wondering about the Disney Charge card I've heard about. Is it worth getting/easy to obtain? My card charges for every transaction abroad and it can mount up after a bit :confused3 so I did wonder about obtaining one of the charge cards

Hi Lizzie
We tend to budget for about £100 in euros per day for lunch, coffees, ice cream, drinks in the evening etc and also use this for spending money on pins, gifts etc. We put our main evening meals on the credit card. We tend to have some euros left over which goes towards our next trip. You should think about a Nationwide credit card as they do not charge fees for foreign transactions. The benefits you gain from using a Tesco clubcard credit card may well be cancelled out by the fees etc so check what their fees are.
Our meals in Blue Lagoon, 2/3 courses for 4 people plus a nice bottle of wine, and drinks for the kids tend to come to about 120 euros, and Annettes Diner is a bit less (no wine!). Hope this helps with your budgeting! Don't forget to make good use of the AP discounts and use your 20% off in the expensive restaurants!!
