Speedo sighting at resort pool 😲🤓😂

My two teenagers both swim competitively. Every time we Disney, they have to do a few practices in our resort pool; my son always wears his Speedo. And yes, very typical in Europe for men of all shapes and sizes...so Congratulations and enjoy the Vitamin D!

It's your vacation, wear what you want.
I don't think it's unacceptable, socially or othewise. It looks good on you, you look good in it. What other people may think is their problem, not yours.
And like others said - why hide in a corner ? It's your reward for a hard job accomplished - be proud of yourself. BTW, most corners are too shady to work on that tan 🌞

When the kids from South America come up in July all sexes wear those at the waterparks

Look for the flag
THIS!!!!lol

When The 15s and other South American groups start returning to WDW,just go to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on a sunny Saturday.

Thongs and Speedos as far as the eye can see!lol :)

My wife got me one of these to celebrate a weight loss journey I've been on for years now. I will be at the Poly on a solo trip for a conference in about a month and was wondering if I could wear this to a corner of the quiet pool at to shrink some of my tanlines.

So is it ridiculous to even consider? I know it's skimpy, but damn some of the things the ladies wear to the water parks are something to behold.

I just know I never see them anywhere, so was wondering if it's basically socially unacceptable to wear one of these things anymore.

My thought is I would wear it under some workout pants to the pool and once I can find a secluded spot, lay out for about an hour to get some rays.

Would love to get everyone's thoughts, no wrong answers. 🤓

Nothing wrong with it, but you might freeze in that (or any bathing suit really) by a pool in January.

My take is if women can wear thong bathing suits and what basically amounts to pasties with strings to the water parks and that is acceptable, then you can wear your banana hammock.

IMO, I still think both genders should wear a little more than they sometimes do but I think thats just becasue of the way I was raised. Trying really hard to overcome that and teach my kids that people can wear whatever they are comfortable in. So if you feel comfortable then rock that speedo and congrats on the weight loss.

My son is a competitive swimmer and has gotten used to the speedo-style suit to the point that he doesn't find board shorts as comfortable anymore. He often wears a speedo. Maybe people think he's European but nobody ever gives him any funny looks.

I think you should wear whatever you want.

My DD was a competitive swimmer too. Most of the middle and high school boys in her program wore briefs unless it was Championship season and then they wore expensive technical jammers. Briefs (aka Speedos) don’t bother me.

Congrats on the weight loss!! I have always thought that if you've worked hard enough to have the shape for a man to wear a Speedo or a woman to wear a bikini then by all means go right ahead. As long as it's in the pool area. On our last Disney trip, the number of women wearing bikinis that really should not have been was really amazing to see!
