The reason is they are widening the road and putting in new drain pipes. We were just down and didn't seem like much of a problem with traffic, well organized.
well when I saw the new speed limit slowed down. the person behind me did not and passed me (in a no pass zone) and got a ticket.
the police seem to come at different times - sometimes the morning, other times at night after park closing - other times when workers get off - around 5 to 6pm.
they were probably there at other times also.
the security guard say that one day they took up the 50 mph and put in 35 mph and started immediately to give out tickets.
the thing I find funny is closer to US192 - pass Westgate - the speed limit is 40 mph (might be 45)
Thanks, Pat, for the warning...good for everyone to know. When we slowed down, someone was tailgating us, didn't see any police around though throughout our stay. Might have been the time of day, we just missed them!
