I know it is only a request and not guaranteed. We are checking into BLT on Wednesday and I have 3 rooms I picked. ( thank you for posting pictures of the views! ) how would I go about requesting a specific room? Should I call MS now? Or would I have a better chance at check in? It's only for one night.
Thanks! :goodvibes

Have never done it, but good luck. Isn't it at best a 1 in 7 chance that a room will be checked out of that day? Maybe certain days are higher turn around-like Sundays though? Always wondered if it worked though-at least in high occupancy rate resorts. Make sure to report back.

All requests have to be made through Member Services. You can try to discuss with CM at check in but room may already be assigned (and not changeable) at that point.

Personally I think requesting specific rooms is not a good formula for success. CMs can only assign you to rooms that were vacated on your arrival day. If guests were placed in those rooms a few days prior, they aren't even options for your stay.

And if the resort can't meet such a specific request, they will put you just anywhere.

IMO, 1-2 general requests which focus on your most valued criteria are best. Things like "high floor", "near elevator", "odd numbered room", "near bus stop", etc.

If you request specific rooms and they are not available when you check in (which is likely) they won't have any idea why you put those rooms as requests. Was it the view?
The floor?
Things those rooms are close to?

IMHO, it's better to ask for for general things you want as tjkraz posted. When you get there, you can always ask if any of the specific rooms you want are available.

Yep - I learned that lesson at WL many years ago. We loved a room location and view that we had a couple of years earlier so I requested that room # again. It was occupied so the room we had been assigned was as opposite as it could have gotten. This was the hotel side and at check-in the CM located a room a little more like why we wanted the room I requested.

You could place the specific room requests but just be aware that by doing so you could end up in something completely opposite if they are already occupied.

I don't know what category or room size you are staying in but when we checked in last week there were only 2 rooms of our type turning over in BKT that day- we arrived at 11am and had a pick of either of theese rooms. Obviously whomever else was checking in that day to the same category had no other room choice as we had already been given the only other room in that category available. I would say asking for a specific room will likely get you nothing like your request.

Your room may already be assigned. They start the process 10 days prior to your check in.
