OK - I booked a Specialty Fireworks Cruise for 12/5. Destination: Wishes

My questions are this:

The time I was told to be at Grand Floridian was 7:15 p.m. That night is a MVMCP night. I am sure Wishes won't be until much later in the evening (10ish?). Does that mean we won't see Wishes? Or when the Park hours are released, can I set up a later time to ensure seeing the Fireworks? I just don't want to do the Cruise if we're not going to see the fireworks.

Where do the boats sit for the Wishes Cruises?

Also, I have read that you cannot hear the Wishes music unless you are on the Magical Gatherings Wishes Cruise. But then I heard they had changed that. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks in advance!

We did the Wishes Cruise in May. We set up a time originally that was much earlier than the fireworks were finally scheduled. Once the hours come out, they will adjust the time for you so that you see Wishes. I called back with each schedule re-adjustment, but I don't think you really need to. Definitely call the day before or even the morning of, to get the correct time to be at the docks.

In May they were testing wireless sound systems, so we did hear all the music/narration. I don't know if they are using them or not now, though.

We caught our boat at the Contemporary, so I can't tell you where the boat will be exactly at the GF. Just go down to the marina, there will be someone to help you.

Have fun! We loved the cruise!

Thanks for the info Beth. That's good to know.

I wonder if MVMCP will affect this in any way. And if they are doing the 360 degree presentation, if the view will be good from the boats.

Where do the boats actually sit to see the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom?

Not sure of MVMCP operates the same as MNSSHP but I tried to schedule a Wishes cruise for a MNSSHP night knowing that Wishes is not going to be shown -there is a special MNSSHP fireworks display at 9:15. So I wanted our cruies to coincide with the halloween fireworks but was told that on the party nights, there are no "fireworks" cruises. Like I said, not sure if MVMCP works the same. Good luck!

We did a Wishes cruise on August 23rd and there was no sound.
We had a great time, but I enjoyed the fireworks display much better in the MK.

Wishes tells a story, and it is best to be able to hear it and see it. :D

Mich Mouse--I agree that Wishes is much better with the music/narration. I'm sorry to hear that those portable receivers didn't work out.

I can't remember exactly where we were sitting, but there was an entire row of boats in the water facing the castle. We could see the castle well, but not quite well enough to see the changes to the castle.

We had a great time on the cruise, and I'd definitely do it again, but only if I could still have a chance to see Wishes inside the MK.

I don't know anything about the fireworks during MNSSHP or MVMCP unfortunately.
