I recently bought the Passporter guide (which I absolutely love) and noticed that you can book a special viewing for Fantasmic. The author said that The desert buffet seating is no longer open ,but mentioned riverside? what is this exactly and is it worth the money? I am only considering it bc I have a 2yr. old princess that may get restless on the street if we have to get seating too early. She is still quite a handful at this age.:rotfl:
Any advice or sharing of experiences will be welcomed!

This option is pretty pricey at $59 pp. I have done it before and DH and I will be doing it again in a week, but it's not for everyone. It's basically an opportunity to be able to sit and enjoy dessert while watching Fantasmic. As for whether or not it's worth it, that's debatable. The desserts are yum and the view is great and it can be a lot of fun. If it were me, and I had a little one, I would probably do it, but again, not for everyone.

i for one want to do this and will next time fantasmic is on when we are there in sep and oct i have been hearing that it wont be going on.

No fantasmic? Or no fantasmic dessert seating in September. We're going to be there Sept 17-21 and I hope we get to see it! And I would love to do the dessert seating again. Yum.

There's been lots of debate around here about whether it's worth it or not-- enough that I've bookmarked one thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1815941&page=4 This takes you to the page where somebody describes exactly where it is and what it's like, with lots of pictures. Read the rest of the thread for different opinions about it. It is expensive, but almost everybody I've heard from on here who has done it, has said it is worth it. We did it and are very glad we did--but it was our very first time at DL, and I also had a DD5 who wouldn't have lasted long waiting in the crush of the crowd, like your little one. princess:

HTH! :)

no ive ehard it wont be going on they are gona be updateing fantasmics projecters from what i heard

Wow, I guess it does sound worth the money. Allowing Dbf to wait for seats while I keep little one entertained is almost worth it all. Okay, okay, the desserts looked way yummy too!!!
Avalon, thank you for the link to the thread. It was very detailed and informative.
Thanks all,

ABSOLUTELY see Fantasmic. No question at all.

Never done the special seating so I can't comment there. We like to stand or sit with the crowds, it just seems to make it more magical and part of the park experience than being separated out ... for us anyway.
