For all of us busy planners, as the trip gets closer are you planning to do anything special for yourself before you leave?

A relaxing massage? A new outfit or two? Maincure? Pedicure? Haircut or color or perm? Trip to the tanning salon? Teeth whitened (say cheese! :teeth: )?

I bought some new shirts for myself just for the trip. Would love to try the Mystic tan before we go, since right now I could go trick-or-treating as a ghost and not need a white sheet! And some Crest white strips are on my next Target trip list! Lots of pics being taken after all...... :rotfl:

This year I got a Mystic Tan before I left. I am fair skinned and never had a tan before, I got just the first level of the Mystic tan, and it was enough. I looked so much better in pictures than I have since well...ever. I usually get my hair done, but with a 9 month old its easier just to do a pony tail all the time.

I was considering manicure and pedicure but really doubt i will find the time we have a 7am flight on thanksgiving and my husband works 8-8 the day before and i have kids.
maybe i will treat myself and get one when i get down to florida. i have bought myself some new clothes, but of course, i have bought everyone else some too, god forbid mom should ever get something.

Since I am going in December, I bought myself some new sweaters. I have a ton of sweaters in my closet but you can always use some more!

Hmmm..cleaning lady will be coming as we are leaving. Does that count???

I get up really early the morning we leave and have some quiet time...read a book, watch a video..while the others are sleeping. I know it will be the last time I have to relax for a while!

I usually buy a couple of new tee shirts, or a pair of shorts or capris, but there's one thing I ALWAYS buy new and that's - underwear. Don't know why, but I always buy a few new pairs of undies and maybe some socks. Just makes me feel like I'm heading off for vacation.

I always hit the summer clearance racks for shorts & tank tops before we go. This last trip, I just happened to have a manicure & pedicure because we had just gotten married. So, I didn't do it especially for the trip, but it made me happy to look down at my French-manicured feet as we floated on our tubes at Blizzard Beach! Oh, and I also like the Mystic tan. Level 1 is perfect for us pasties!

Having haircut & color already scheduled, other than that I just wait until I get there because there is always something I HAVE TO HAVE!! :rotfl2:

Since we're going to FL and I forgot it can get cold in Dec. I might need couple new sweatshirts or maybe a new jacket! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I have bought some new clothes for the trip and have bought a complete new outfit to travel in. I'll have my hair cut and coloured just before we go too. My friend and I have booked ourselves into Saratoga Springs spa whilst we are at WDW for a massage too as a treat.

Just a thought, will have to look at age limits for spa. We have day of MVMCP with nothing planned would love to treat my nieces to manicure. I have a brochure in my Disney file.

We leave on Saturday :cool1:
Friday morning after I drop the kids off at school I will go get a Mystic Tan because I am lilly white with lovely blue spider veins all over my legs.
Friday evening, DD 11 and I have booked a pedicure and French manicure at a nice spa. All courtesy of money made at our summer garage sale

I have a spa gift certificate that I got as a Christmas gift last year that expires a week before our trip...maybe I will use it for a pre-trip treat to myself:) Great idea!!!!

We leave in 2 weeks - I have a very hectic schedule, but decided I deserve :goodvibes to pamper myself. So had my haircut last night, and signed up for unlimited tanning at a salon by my house. I am so pasty white, that this will at least give me some color. Plus being from Wisconsin, and it is getting chilly, it's nice to lay in the tanning bed (if only for 15 minutes) Great way to relax for a little while. Hope to see some Lime Green ribbons down there the week of the 12th-18th... We're "going home" to OKW for the 1st time as DVC owners - it's about time...

Yes to all the above  And for my DH too!

The week before a trip I get my hair cut and highlighted. I am always on the lookout for great clothes AND shoes  I am always packed up a week before we go, so I can relax. The day before we travel I go to the gym earlier and get a double workout in then I go to the salon and get a mani/pedi, massage or sunless tan sprayed on and a blow out. My DH always gets a bottle of champagne and we go out for an early dinner. My husband usually gets a haircut and a mani/pedi too...sometimes a facial.

If interested the go smile system is far superior to crest white strips. The white strips do not get all your teeth - only a few in the front , does not get in between and it makes your teeth very sensitive. The new go smile sysem - B1 works great and so do the toothpastes. I threw out my crest strips.

Oh absolutely!!!!!!!!!
I got my hair cut & colored today, appointments for a manicure and pedicure tomorrow and I have definately bought a bunch of new clothes! I loved getting the end of summer clearance stuff too!!! I also bought lots for my kids...Disney Direct end of summer clearance and free shipping...got them new bathing suit, towels, flip flops, cover up, pjs
wow...now that I look at this...I am a little obnoxious!
YIKES!!! :earseek:
Hey..it's vacation...right?????!!!!!!!
We leave Sat. and can't believe it is finally here!!!!! :cool1:

Hair cut and touch up the highlights :sunny: .
Pedicure the week before take off.
I pick up all my favorite Aveda/Origins products in sample sizes.
A couple of non-mommy magazines and a good "chick-let" paperback. :earsgirl:

AND I'M GOOD TO GO!!!

(In fact, I'd better make those appointments now...) princess:

I always get shirts made for the people in our party. I also tan for a month if I will be wearing shorts, get a haircut to prepare for the humidity and I usually get some new clothes to take with me.

WOW! :earseek: You go girl! I'm jealous! :goodvibes
Two things:
1. Thanks for the advice about the go smile system.
2. Forgive my ignorance.. but what is a blow-out? Sounds like something my tires do!
