All nights were already sold out before this offering was announced.
For real? Odd but ok.
I'm not sure what the play is there as you hit such a small portion of the membership base.
Even though it's just a small thing, they can use it as a selling point - "Look at all the special events we hold for direct buyers!" Particularly when they can't offer APs.For real? Odd but ok.

I am curious whose budget is paying for this. Is it a DVD, Inc. item or a DVC members' item?I think this is another nice surprise. I know that DVC management can’t do anything about park reservations or APs, so it seems they’re trying this way to encourage direct buys.
If it's restricted to owners eligible for Membership Extras, it's paid for via the DVD marketing budget. If DVC dues paid, it would have to be open to all owners.I am curious whose budget is paying for this. Is it a DVD, Inc. item or a DVC members' item?
Based on the description (which limits this to qualifying direct sales), I am guessing this is from DVD, Inc.

DVD pays for the Epcot lounge and Moonlight Magic?DVD pays for all membership extras which are considered incidental benefits,
Dues can not used to pay for any perks, and benefits, even if open to all.

For me the big difference between the Halloween event and this one is the Halloween event did not require you to have purchased a special event ticket to attend.Maybe just to give those already there something nice? Like they did when they came out with the little Halloween event in October.
It may not be anything large, but it is still nice that those of us attending to have one more things to enjoy that night.
