You could make a ressie at the Grand Floridan Spa, than there is an Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridan also.

How about a nice dinner, check out www.wdwig.com for a list of restaurants.

Have a great trip. :D

That is so nice of you, Sarah. And an early congratulations on your graduation. :bounce:

Take a lookat this, and if interested, go the Theme Park Planning board here on the DIS for some tips and help in getting one of these cruises, they are tough to get. My family did one back in '99 and it was a highlight of our trip.

And welcome to the DIS. :wave2: Hope you stop by often. And with you in IL, check out the Meet baord (easy to forget about that one) and/or the Community board for announcements on DIS meets here in Chicago.

Thanks so much guys!! i looked into both, but i think it will be nearly impossible for me to do any of those because either she will find out or i can not afford it. :( after all i have a teenager's salary from hyvee!!!! lol anyways i heard something about blocks or something from disney and you can have them engraved or something put on it and then they put it in the park so other people can see it. do any of you know anything about this? if you do maybe i could possibly look into it. because then i may be able to afford it and it might be more sentimental. thanks so much guys!!!
-Dan, thanks for the welcome! it's great to be here!

It is called Leave A Legacy, go to www.disney.com type in Leave a legacy in the search and it will take you to to a page that the very first link tells all about what you are looking for.
Also I think you would be able to make a ressie for dinner without her finding out. www.wdwig.com for a list of restaurants.

The Spa at the Grand Floridian can do simple manicures and pedicures which aren't too expensive and they are AWESOME! It is lovely in there and very calming - you could have a pedicure (around $60, I think - manicures are around $20) and spend some time chatting in the cushy chairs in the lounge. They provide tea and water and I'm sure they'd let you spend some quiet, quality time there with your mom.

thanks for the ideas!! they all seem so great i'l look into them all and then let you know which one i am going to do!! Thanks again!!!!

HI Sarah, welcome to the Dis:earsboy: I think you have some great suggestions here, but just as an alternative: There is lots of jewelry at WDW in all price ranges. They have both Disney and non-Disney themes. Of course there is always the idea of a Disney watch. With all the shopping at the parks, I'm sure you'd find something. If you're staying on-site, you can also ask CMs about getting something delivered to your room. You're a very nice teenager. Your mother is very lucky:earsboy:

:D How nice of you to want to do something for your mom. I am considering doing the Grand Floridian Tea for my MIL on our next trip. Here's some info on it if you're interested: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm . I was thinking of doing the tea for two ($35).

You could also sneak away and get her a special souvenir as a surprise. Does she have a favorite character? Another fun one could be to get her a dated Christmas ornament. I am pretty sure they will personalize it for you in some locations. :D Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Well i was looking at all these suggestions and i like the idea of getting something personalized that we could bring home so that she will always be able to remember our trip. I reallly liked the idea of leave a legacy, but we probably can't bring that home :p so i will probably just wait until we get down there and find something for her and surprise her with it. If any of you have found a store that sells cool personalized things that would be good for my idea i would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks so much guys!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Have you thought about trying to find an Illuminations Cruise to share during your trip? Depending on how many people share a cruise it could be as little as $12 each.

Go HERE and choose the Illuminations Cruise Central for the month of your spring break. You might luck out.

Nemo1987 The thing your mom wants most of all is to spend this time with you. It sounds like you and your mom already have an awesome relationship. I think that's great. While on your trip, try to "humor her" as much as possible. Remember, she is doing this all for you and may have some ideas/activities that you may think are lame. Try to cheerfully go along with at least some of them. You may find them to be the most memorable of your trip.
Remember, material things can be gone in an instant, it is the memory that will last a lifetime.

As for a lasting momento, How about a special photo of the two of you with her favorite character or much loved scenery in the background. Have it framed and place it in a place of honor when you get home. Believe me, it will mean more to her than you can imagine.

these all sound so great!! :Pinkbounc i really want to get something that we can take home because i think that is what will help us the most to remember so i think i will just wait until we get down there and if i find something that is perfect then i will know. thanks for all the help!!! you guys are awesome!!!!

The best thing you can bring home from WDW is memories. Try to make lots of them and get some photos, too.
