SO just wondering what everybody thoughts are for doing something special on our last night at WDW?
Our plan was to do a star wars themed night but the Galactic Dessert Party is sold out.
There are four of us, myself, hubbie, a 3 year old and a 6 year old.

Thanks in advance!!

Our 'Last Night' tradition is just to kick back at the Board Walk resort where we stay, dropping in to WS for Illuminations. We go for 9 or 10 days so we've had our fill by then and we just soak up the atmosphere. This may not work for guests at other resorts or off site but we enjoy an unhurried final evening.

What about a specialty cruise to see fireworks? Or the MK dessert party and fireworks?

First, I would keep checking for the SW dessert party. I'm sure there will be cancellations.

I am a huge fan of the Pirates 'N Pals cruise - so much family fun! I haven't seen any reviews since HEA started. It's obvious you would not be able to see the castle projections. But, the boats do have the music piped in and the view of the fireworks is great.

OOO there's a MK fireworks boat tour???

We're staying at Saratoga spring so onsite guest. God i'm so excited!!!!

Do you think there'll be cancellations for the Galactic dessert party? I'm managed to get reservations at Ohana and BOG by constantly clicking refresh but the dessert party is a prepay non dinning plan event.

People can cancel up to 24 hours ahead. However, when is your trip? The reservations may not have been released yet- they have only been releasing them about 60 days ahead (sometimes less). Until then, it shows as unavailable/sold out.

If I might, how did you check for the Galactic Dessert party? I ask only because I thought the MK party was sold out until I figured I was looking it up wrong on MDE. I just checked and there are reservations for 4 tonight for it, so maybe some will come available if that is what you really want to do.

And the date in question might also be part of it - if it is not for a while... They are only showing availability through Sep 30 on MDE

I'm looking for 22nd august. I'm checking it online but I rang disney reservations too to double check that they were actually doing it that night. she said they were and that there was no availability.

What does everyone else do on the last night?

They are sold out then- those dates have been open.

We actually like to eat at Rose and Crown on our last night and watch Illuminations from the patio.

Sorry to hear - if it is like MK, it must be cancelled 5 days in advance, so perhaps some will open up during your stay?

I have to spend my last evening at MK- just soaking it all in. We end with a great dinner- usually Ohana

I second the suggestion for the fireworks cruise. It's hands down our favorite special thing to do at Disney. Depending on the timing of the fireworks that night, you may get to see the Electrical Water Pageant for the boat as well.

We did the Star Wars dessert party, and I wasn't that impressed. I think the Magic Kingdom dessert party is better.
