special needs room reservation procedure

I've never gotten to a resort and found that my needs were not accommodated. I always check my confirmation which will state that I have a special needs room with roll in shower. Those rooms are blocked at the time of booking. I figure if I'm making a ressie and am then told the resort has what I requested, and I have it in writing on my confirmation, then I'm not going to worry.

Now this confuses me. I keep reading this (it stating the special needs room ON the confirmation) versus the opposite (it NOT being on the confirmation). Which one is right, or could it even be both? :scared1:

Just to clarify; on all of my reservations so far it has never stated the roll in shower ON the confirmation. I always talked to SN after making the original reservation (yes, controlefreakish.....) and always was told indeed a room with roll in shower was blocked for me. So far it has always been true. But keep reading these contradicting experiences sure makes one have some doubt.
