Special Holiday/Event Treats for food allergies?

I know WDW accommodates food allergies well.
I know I can get an allergy cookie at MVMCP. I know they have regular and sugar-free hot chocolate included with MVMCP.
I know they have special holiday snacks at Christmas time and event snacks at StarWars Weekends.
I know I can get goodies that are allergy-free for many allergies made by BabyCakes at some places in WDW.
I think food allergy info belongs here - let me know if I'm wrong.
Questions:
(1) Is plain hot water offered during MVMCP so that I can bring my own allergy-free hot chocolate sub?
(2) This would just be a bonus, I know, but I am asking so I don't miss anything. Has anyone ever seen an allergy edition of a special snack such as those on sale only during holidays (allergy-free gingerbread) or StarWars Weekends (Darth Vader cupcake)?

based on the small park I work at, most C/S that serve hot coffee and tea will have hot water. a cart or small stand that just has hot chocolate will most likely not have as their hot chocolate is made else where and they just serve it

I still don't know if I there will be any holiday or Star Wars Weekend treats for sale in "allergy editions" such as a gingerbread cupcake or Darth Vader cupcake. I do know that you need to contact Special Diets for a dessert party and have done so for the Feel the Force parade and dessert party experience. So I am hoping to have an allergy edition something there during SWW. Now, if I can just get up early enough to book a dessert party at Christmas... :coffee:

I don't know if MVMCP has water dispensers and packets of chocolate or just dispensers of each regular and sugar-free chocolate. I suppose I will try the asking for hot water at a CS if I need it - else buy coffee. :scratchin
Wish someone with dairy allergy had been to SWW or MVMCP in past years and could let me know - where are they :confused3

From what I have been told elsewhere, no. They have allergy friendly treats but not necessarily themed to special events.

Anywhere that has hot water will give you a cup free at anytime, just like cold water. The hot chocolate at the MVMCP is nothing special so bringing your own is a great idea. The special themed snacks is not likely going to happen. The allergy friendly snacks are pretty limited and mostly come pre-packaged. Very few dessert items are made on site and therefore WDW will not vouch for their allergy safety. Pretty sure that babycakes has just recently closed.

As others have mentioned, any quick service location that serves tea or hot drinks can fill your mug with hot water.

There were no allergy-friendly Star Wars treats in 2012, at least none that I could eat (peanut and tree nut-free). We didn't call special diets ahead of time though. They should be able to tell you what is safe and what is not. They had an ingredient list for all the special theme foods at the guest relations desk.

Babycakes still delivers special orders to resorts and a few places within the parks. You may be able to make a special request through them, with a special event theme, and have them delivered to you (if those are safe for you.)

My understanding is they will give you a cup of hot water but not take your personal mug and fill it. Just like they will give you a cup of ice water but not fill your water bottle

In February, our server at Cape May Cafe brought a collection of BabyCakes "desserts" for DD and I. Then he told us that while the DTD location was closing that BabyCakes items are now (and he expected would continue to be) offered in the resort shop refrigerated case. I will look at resort(s) next time we are at WDW to verify this info. Thanks for the reminder about BabyCakes.
I am happy with hot water regardless of cup ;) - thanks.
If special treats aren't available allergy-free in the parks (with the possible exception of dessert party) then I will just bring treats for DD and I so we don't have to search for yet another allergy-free cookie or get too jealous when DH and DS are covered in Darth Vader cupcake chocolate. :p I'm not trying to make I'm-special-demands, just trying to be as prepared as I can.

Just a heads up- Babycakes is only in a couple of resorts. You can read more as they answer questions on their twitter feed. The selection is also very limited but they said recently they are adding donuts somewhere. In the past we have only found the 4 packs of mini cupcakes at resorts.

No, we haven't seen specialty items like gingerbread for allergies. We have found chocolate bars that are allergen safe at some locations and we can eat some of the packaged Main STreet Candies.
Good luck!

The ONLY special holiday or event treats for allergies is at MNSSHP where they usually carry about 8 different allergy specific candies at guest services. Otherwise at events you will be offered similar pre-packaged, pre-made baked goods, fruit, sorbet, etc. At MVMCP they have batches of hot cider and hot cocoa made up. They also have hot water, tea bags, and packets of nestles sugar free cocoa mix. Apple slices are the main offering when you say you have an allergy. When asked about cookies they sometimes carry something "allergy safe" but it's typically gluten free and may not be safe for other allergies. It's not holiday themed or special in any way. The only safe cucpakes I have found on site are at Be Our Guest the cupcakes are nut safe if you request no garnish as the sprinkles and pearls are not safe. I can't have babycakes but those are only offered at very specific locations.
