Are you on the Wonder or Magic?
We were on the 3 night Wonder that sailed out on Halloween. They had the ship decorated (on Halloween only, they took it down sometime overnight), and had trick or treating for the kids. The trick or treating was
very disorganized , but still fun for the kids to be able to get a few pieces of "candy" for Halloween! They also had some costume contests, but started way too late for the family to participate. The note that came with our cruise docs said there would be costume contests for kids, best group, best Disney, most original - (I forget all the categories), but all I could find on the Navigator was one for adults that started at like 10 or 10:30. We had a
very full ship , and I think everyone was dressed in costume - even the characters were dressed up!!
All in all it was fun, just hectic! I think it would have been
much better if Halloween were on the day after we sailed rather than the day of sailing! It was very rushed getting situated, having the boat drill, diner, changing into costume, trick or treat and everything else that fell in between!!!
Have fun in which you choose.
