I'm watching the History Channel and "the Lost Battalion", having already watched "The Crossing" today and am enjoying it immensly. Some of my favorites include:

1776
Band of Brothers
The American Revolution (PBS)
Revolution (PBS)
George Washington (series long time ago)

I also liked "The Adams Chronicles" when it came out about 30 years ago on PBS. Anyone else?

Hmm, I wonder if you'd consider this historical, it's a movie that tells the story of one man's life and service to this country. Born on the 4th of July. I'm off to watch it right now.

And Glory, one of my all time favorite movies, with Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington about the Civil War.

Well....for on the 4th watching I'm kind of partial to Independance Day with Will Smith. Not too historical but.....

I'm watching the History Channel and "the Lost Battalion",
Excellent movie! There are so few good films about the Great War. Last count there were less than 3000 US veterans of that conflict left alive.

I'l try to post a list of favorites later. The Alamo just started at the dollar theater this weekend so I'm heading out today to get a dose of Texas and US history all at the same time.
