We are dining at BOG on our first night and I have booked a delivery for my hubby for our 10th anniversary. I contacted the restaurant's special occasion dept by email and my message was forwarded to the manager.

I wanted them to know about the special delivery. They have not emailed me back.

Have you ever done this to a restaurant? What was your experience? Was it delivered by the waiter? Did you need to prompt anyone?

My hubby is extremely observant and very very curious, which makes it hard to surprise him. I will need this to go without me having to say anything to anyone while he is nearby or else he will ask me a zillion questions and I am a bad liar!!

I would call Disney florist. I've used them for flowers in our room but never delivered else where. Disney does not allow other florists on their property, I believe.

It is the disney florist who is delivering it to the restaurant earlier that day...I am more concerned with it being forgotten or that's will need to tell someone which means I will need to do some cloak and dagger stuff...very hard with my hubby.

It will be notated on your ADR and when you arrive your server as well as the manager will be notified that you have arrived. Most likely it will be at your table when you are seated. This is how it's done at a few of the restaurants I've worked at.

I'm not exactly sure on he delivery arranegments but I do have an email sent from Disney which details a few options for anniversary celebrations (chamagnes flutes and similar) which can be delivered to the restaurant. Can send to you if it helps :goodvibes

Lots of personal experience here . . .

1) Flowers are easily delivered by Disney Florist
. . . price of flowers
. . . service charge
. . . taxes, etc
2) For delivery timing, such as a at restaurant
. . . there is an added $25 delivery charge for a specific time *
. . . Dis Flowers do not have a specific delivery time during the day
. . . delivery could be anywhere from mid-morning to mid-evening
. . . without the delivery fee, no guarantee they make your ADR time
3) There is no need to call the restaurant
. . . they have NO control over the delivery
. . . if the flowers are delivered, the eatery will give them to you
. . . if not delivered, it is not their duty to followup or expedite
4) Presentation,
. . . flowers would be on the table in a TS eatery when you are seated
. . . or, they could be brought shortly after you being seated
. . . there is no pomp, just the flowers

* You cannot say, "We are there in the evening, so just deliver
during the day, without the extra charge." This is not acceptable
to Florist, as they have the right to delivery anytime during the
scheduled day. So, to meet you at an eatery, even if you have a
late ressie, you pay the added delivery fee.

You seem to know alot about the florist so I have a question for you. If you send gifts to 4 rooms at the same resort do you pay a seperate delivery charge for each room or one per order. I assume each would have a charge because each goes to a different room. Thank you for the information .

I am paying a delivery fee and was told it 'should' be okay...i am not having flowers delivered to my hubby, but something else from the disney florist website. I was told the item will NOT be delivered at a specific time, just 'during the day' and they can not promise what will happen after it is delivered to to the restuarant. they asked for my reservation number though.

Basically I feel once the florist drops off the item, it is off their plate and only for the restuarant to handle. The item is on a silver tray and is designed to be 'presented'. (I got him a Disney Medal.)

This is why I contacted BOG, to confirm that is all okay and that they can make sure it happens without me having to remind anyone.

I had a diver in the tank at Coral Reef when we had our 5th anniversary, and had to remind the wait staff to sit us at a window. My Hubby was intently curious WHAT was going on when we sat down...he is just nosy and hard to surprise....he had no idea wy I wanted to sit at the window and I almost blew the surprise.

It's our first day - and I just do not want a cool surpirse to be ruined.

. . . each flower order has a separate deleivery fee
. . . a different addressee is a different order
. . . but, if you get that "right" CM, yhou might get lucky
. . . if you want a timed delviery (eg, morning) there is a $25 upcharge each

. . . you paid the standard/included delivery fee
. . . if you want it for your ADR, there is a $25 upcharge
. . . or else, they on guarantee "that day"
. . . which might be after you have left the eatery *
. . . thinking the eatery must handle after delivery is half-true

* Quite often when we eat, I have flowers or something else delivered
for the wife or my guests, which is 6-8 times per year. Even for eateries
that don't open until 5:00pm, there is an upcharge for timing. Or, the florist
can deliver as late as about 9:30pm, which would miss the ADR. Trust me,
I don't like paying the upcharge, but better than not getting flowers when
we arrive, or the flowers not waiting on the table for us.
