Went to the bank today and decided to swing buy Walmart on the way home. I planned to check out their clearance flowers (we have a few flowerpots that are empty outside and our garden bed is pretty bare since my seed sprouting didn't go as planned), buy a can of spray paint, and price a few other items that I am hoping to get in the future...
I left there with 4 cucumber plants, 4 vinca plants, 2 red pepper plants, 1 mystery flower, and 1 can of spray paint. Not bad...
But THEN, I also got 2 sheets of butterfly wall clings (for the girls' bedroom), a package of 4 ft bamboo stakes (for a couple of droopy/tall indoor plants and tomato plants outside), a bottle of Gatorade (for my son), and a 3 piece folding bistro set for my deck...
Yep, I bought outdoor furniture on impulse!
To be fair, I had been in dire need of some sort of outdoor seating, I love the color, that it folds for winter storage, and.. it was only $25! Regularly $68! Total cost for everything was $48. I had planned to spend around $20. I am alternating between feeling guilty for going over my budget and being excited that I found something I really like for the deck at such a good price!
Needless to say, I gave my front and backyard a little facelift and the wall clings give my girls' room a little extra pizazz. The spray paint will be used to give a facelift to a few other things as well.
Anyhoo.. it looks like stores are starting to mark down their outdoor stuff, so check it out for some good deals!
