Have you been to the cinema lately? Can you recommend any of the current films? .. Or maybe a good video to snuggle up to at home?
DS and his friend went to see XXX this afternoon and thought it was really good ( ........ although he did say " ... but I'm not sure you'd enjoy it that much Mum" )

Well we saw Red Dragon a few days ago and would really recommend that. It's a 15 and compared with Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal it contains little in the way of gore.

Something to watch at home - there's so much to choose from these days it's hard to know where to start. A couple that we have enjoyed recently are "The Time Machine" and "A Beautiful Mind".

:D Hi Shirley,

I too am dying to see Red Dragon, i've read the book a few times.
If you like that sort of film Thriller/Horror then i'm sure you'll love it too but if you don't like films about scarey stuff then i'd give it a miss
;)

My DD would love to see the new Harry Potter movie I've heard it's good, i havn't been to the cinema for a good few weeks now as DH has been working away from home so i'm hoping to catch up when he gets home.

Luv Audrey,

Red Dragon is actually a re-make of a previous film. The original was called Manhunter and was released in 1986. I haven't seen either yet though.

I have got Time Machine on DVD but didn't think alot to it - prefer the original :)

I would really recommend Road to Perdition, not sure if it's still in the cinema but it was excellent! :)

XXX is brilliant, even my girlfriend enjoyed & does not normally like those types of films (Maybe Vin Diesel helped her here though??!! :)
Red Dragon, also is a fantastic.
Road to Perdition is also fantastic.

We did see some films in the US recently.

Knockaround guys (Barry Pepper, Vin Diesel, John Malkovic) this also is a great film, about gangsters sons etc blah blah.

We did see a complete lemon though, The Transporter (Jason Statham) It's the most over to top film I have ever seen, it started off OK too but was just silly, we were laughing at it.

You have to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Its brilliant and very funny, so good I want to go and see it again!

Took DD to see Lilo & Stich and have to say that neither of us was impressed. Didn't enjoy this much at all and won't bother buying it on DVD when its released. However it did show a preview of the new Harry Potter movie and have to say it looks fantastic, can't wait to go see that.
