Speaker for my Android Phone?

At home we sleep with Alexia playing as a sound machine, and I'm worried without her I might have trouble on the cruise. So I was thinking I might download an app to my phone that won't require wifi, and attach it to a speaker so that it's loud enough to hear while away from the phone. Nothing too loud mind you, I don't want to be THAT neighbor.

Can anyone make any good suggestions? I don't even know if such a thing exists, so I really don't know where to start looking.

Any good bluetooth speaker will work. I prefer Ultimate Ears. Most music apps (e.g. Spotify) have an off-line mode. Make sure to download whatever music you want before you travel.

The cheapest one out there honestly.

There are tons of nice options but if you are only using it for a cruise and never again it doesn't make sense to sink money in to one.

When searching just look it up on Amazon and look for reviews and if they have connectivity issues or not.

I have a little Bose bluetooth speaker that’s kind of rugged. It’s great for travel. We take it with us frequently. I got it at WalMart and the cost wasn’t bad. It has incredible sound.

I got the previous version of this one (baby boom xl) as a gift and use it as a shower speaker. The sound is pretty good even though it is a mono one. This newer version is at target. Most bluetooth speakers (as long as they're not a smart speaker) do not need wifi to work. I'd just make sure to set it up at home before you board so if you need to do any set up with internet you can.

This was the plan, I just need to be able to attach it to a speaker so it will be loud enough. Honestly? We play it every night quietly not to disturb our neighbors - but loud enough to drown out my wife's snoring.
