I've searched and searched, but cant find the closure schedules for January 2012 or 2011.

But I'd like to go to DisneyLand in January of 2013, and cant think of going if spash is closed.

Is Spash Mountain usually closed in January?

I want to go in January as its a anniversary for me and my girlfriend and would like to do something special ;)

Splash Mountain doesn't have yearly closures. It had a big refurbishment a couple of years ago and will most likely not have another one soon, but there is no way to know for sure until Disney releases the refurb schedule 6 weeks out. The biggest closure rumor right now for Jan is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I haven't heard any rumors on Splash, but that doesn't mean it wont happen.

We were there this past January and it was open. Lines were really short at night. The CM let us ride through a few times!

Spash Mountain? Is that sort of like Flash Mountain (where inappropriate parts of the body are bared)? Or maybe Stash Mountain (where Disney hides all their money)? Or maybe Trash Mountain (where all of the...well... garbage at DLR gets taken)?

Oh, wait a minute! You must mean Splash Mountain. ;) As others have said it is usually open in January. The only rides that always close in January are HM and IASW. If Splash closes it is because it needs work and that is the time of year for work.

Sorry my spelling isnt the greatest, and I cant edit my post here. But thanks for having fun and not yelling.

Looks like we might be going no Jan 3 - 9th :D !!!!

good grief...i would freeze to death if i went on Splash in Jan. (or Feb., March, April, May, Oct. Nov, Dec even) :lmao:

Most times I have ridden Splash Mountain, I barely get wet. It's not like GRR or Kali River Rapids in the the hot season.

oh i know...in June we went on GRR AND Splash and how i managed to just get a couple of drops on me i will never know...however, with that said....it would be just my luck to go in Jan with that thinking and I would get SOAKED!!!!:rotfl2:

Apparently GRR and Splash have winter and summer settings. In winter they can turn things down so guests get less wet.
