My wife's birthday is approaching soon, and I was considering getting her a spa treatment during our visit when we are down for the Wine and Dine half marathon.

Does anyone have any experiences or reviews of the spas on property? Are there any specific treatments you can recommend? Also, is there any major differences between the spas at Saratoga Spring and the Grand Floridian?

Many thanks in advance!

I've been to both of those. (Senses at GF and at SS) I visited the Saratoga one shortly after it opened in 2013. I visited the GF one in December.

As a person who loves spas and massages and has been to many all over and had many massages, these 2 places are both outstanding. The Saratoga location was meant to just copy the GF one, so very little differences, if any. Beautiful, clean and both have an excellent staff. My therapists were amazing both times.I would go with the location that will be more convenient for you both.

The first time I had the custom relaxation bath followed by the hot stone massage. Both treatments were in the same room so that was great and easy. Hot stone massages are my favorite, hands down. More expensive, but amazing. They can be customized for the level of pressure wanted. (As any of them can be, and they will discuss that with her when she arrives.) I think the hot stone really relaxes the muscles more and allows for a better massage. That would be even more outstanding after a half marathon. They do have some massages that are more deep tissue that can be great after such events, but that really just depends on what your wife might like. Has she had massages before? If she hasn't then I wouldn't do deep tissue.

Also I enjoyed having a relaxing lunch at the QS places at each resort after my massage.

Allow a good bit of time before and after the scheduled time if possible. She will be able to enjoy everything they offer before and after her massage, like the whirlpool, heated lounge chairs, relaxation room, drinks, etc....and they have very nice showers and everything she would need to get ready to go do something else afterwards.

I had a manicure at the spa at GF on my last trip and while it wasn't cheap it was very, very good!

The staff are all lovely and many of the products they used were vegan/environmentally friendly. I was also given a nail care kit and free bottle of nail varnish.

I would definitely recommend!
