Most of the American population thinks it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments'. One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc. Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too.

I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Sincerely,
Your Friend

Rog, WHAT A GREAT TECHNIQUE !
:lmao::lmao:
I will absolutely use it on our grandchildren, (if we ever have any)

Dude thats too funny you crack me up.:rotfl2: 99mph on the sign

We expect the best from a BDR post, and you never let us down. I thought the 99 mph readout was the best touch.

:lmao:

I've tried that with my boys on a few occasions- it worked with the older one, not so great with the younger one, he thought it was a "way cool ride" and wanted to do it again... kids.... :rotfl:

<<Any of you who have met Matty know this attitude to be true ;) >>

OMG that is hilarious! I should try that with my two, although my son would probably love it, he is our daredevil. I am still laughing .........good way to start the morning, THANKS BDR:thumbsup2

I really cant take credit for this one...it was sent to me in an email and I 'bout hit the floor laughing. The kids face is pricless!!!

Yeah, the car is actually parked on the shoulder,if you look in the rear-view mirror, you can see the dome light is on..suggesting that the door is open, so obviously these folks saw a malfunctioning speed registrar stuck on 99mph and got creative.....MY KIND OF PEOPLE!!!

Yeah...looks like something all of us have dreamed of doing at one time or another. Say on a 22 hour plus car ride to Disney World...:rolleyes1
Here ya go there sweetie pie...:wizard: mommy and daddy's special snowflake...OUT ON THE WINDSHEILD WHERE YA BELONG!:furious:

:rotfl:

Thanks Rog...ahhh the memories.....

I think I'm going to print that out and keep a copy of it in the car for emergencies :lmao:

Not to mention that the shifter is in park! Hopefully my kid will not notice when I show her my new teaching tool. Way to funny to not share. Thanks

When I was little my mother would holler " If you kids don't stop I'm gonna run this car into a pole!" then she would swerve over a little.:scared1: The neighbor kids would run home and tell their parents she was nuts and never ride with us again. That was long ago.ah long long ago.
