no, they didnt have pillows on the seats.
i got to ride it again yesterday and still couldnt bring myself to like it.
SPOILERS: highlight to read:
like i said, the ending is the same up until the cinema sign. after that, the living room where they used to be watching walt has been completely changed. the entire set is more modern but represents the time where they first landed on the moon. six..ties? o0
anyway, the next room, instead of moving into where they used to have the two children talking over the language screen, it now has been turned into a giant computer room from the eighties. there are two new animatronics ( a man and woman) on each side. the narration says that the computer was invented and speaks a language of ones and zeros. it also says that "many people wanted a computer in their homes, but the problem was, a computer was as big as a house"
the next scene, instead of moving through the mirror globe, it has changed to a house, complete with a car outside. you are moving through the garage where the first computer was invented and you see another animatronic working at the first personal computer.
instead of moving through the tunnel of lights where you can hear people talking, instead you move through a tunnel of falling numbers that are green. think matrix and you have it all pictured.
you do still turn to face the earth and spiral downwards, but the narrator then says "now its your turn. a few questions will appear on the screen,.." and your screen (which has been dark until now) turns on and asks you a few questions like "what is most important to you?" "how often do you think about your health?" "what would motivate you to exercise more?" "what would you want to drive in the future a rocket bike or a flying car?" "what do you like to do with your friends?"
when you have selected your answers, while the "movie" is loading it asks you if you can remember certain things from the ride itself like "what was the first things humans wrote on for communication?" "computers speak a language of what?" etc.
your movie is shown to you based on your answers. it basically shows you what it would "be like in the future". with crappy animation.
through this whole ordeal there are no lights like there were last time. there is nothing to look at. the city that used to twinkle and glow and fan out into that sheet of lights is gone. the computer classroom where the children were making the different flying machines is gone. even the model spaceship earth is gone. it is dark save fore a few "pixie dust" sparkle lights on the wall your entire journey down.
i have heard that they are still going to open it up in february, and that they are simply opening it to test what people think. if this is the finished product, and you loved or atleast felt sometype of likeness towards the original, you will be dissapointed. mad even. on the upscale, the animatronics move like jack sparrrow does in pirates, some got new costumes, and they look fantastic. the score is diffrent as well and it seems to move a little faster.
