When I last rode Space Mountain in 2015 it was really rough -- enough so that I only rode it once.

Has it improved any since then?

SM at Disneyland is so much smoother!

Yup. It jacks up my back, but I tolerate it for my daughter. And it's still fun. Test track also gives me a little whiplash but I keep going on that, too. Wait...how much am I paying to have all this "fun"?

Well, I'll have to disagree with everyone! We also recall it being really rough.

Our group of 5, ages 44-52, rode it in late 2017 and we were all prepared to be jostled and were amazed at how smooth it was. So much so we went on it again! :)

Rode it this summer, its just as rough, if not worse. Left me feeling discombobulated and motion sick for the rest of my day. But, everyones different!

It’s the only ride that makes me feel sick and I usually only get motion sick on 3D rides. Just way too rough.

For some reason I find the right side to be smoother and less intense and the left side to be more rough and intense.

I Agree, in fact I let my DH know I wont miss this ride. Getting to rough for me.

However, we did enjoy it last October one time and one time only when we got to ride it with the lights on (from people mover) and it was just enough lighting so you could anticipate the bumps and turns.
It was awesome.

But that will probably never happen again, so I am crossing it off my bucket list as been there done that.

I enjoyed it though when I did ride it years ago.

Safe travels.

Not only has SM not changed, you're three years older!!!:sunny: You'll appreciate every little knock and bump just that much more!:teeth:

I agree! The two sides are supposed to be mirror images of each other, but many years ago on an E-Ticket night (yes, many years ago) our family rode SM 5 times in a row, alternating sides, and came to the conclusion that the left side was definitely better!

And I almost always ask to sit in #6 position - more G-forces & air time!

So if you want the smoothest ride, sit in #1 on the right side. But don’t expect it to be smooth!
