I checked on the single-rider status of Space Mountain yesterday around 10:45. It’s finally returned! Shortly after I joined the line, about 20 people filed in behind me so with only a few people ahead, my timing couldn’t have been better. As others may have mentioned, there are a few minor additions that are cool. Some friends rode it the day it reopened and told me to watch for them. To any DL fan, this attraction is a classic.
I was also pleased to learn that the scoring on Buzz had finally been fixed! Some friends were at the park on Saturday and messaged me about it. I rode it about six times yesterday. The first time I scored about 1.4M. On my second ride, I got about 1.8M but my score didn’t come through. However, I was vindicated on the following three by breaking 2M on all of them! It was a nice way to mark the return of the ride proper.
At rope drop, the park was decidedly the busiest I’ve seen since it reopened. It’s always hard to tell from a photo but I’ve included one below anyway.
Yesterday was Dapper Day and I had a wonderful time! In addition to seeing some great outfits, I bumped into three people I know but didn’t expect to be there. I met a nice woman and her mother at the spring DD about 18 months ago (pic below – with the black and white hat and the Dalmatian-stole over her left arm). Last DD they approached me in Fantasyland and remembered me by name! This year I returned the courtesy and remember her by name. Later I ran into a few other people I know.
Other brief notes: I waited in line about ten minutes to enter the new tree house. While it was kind of neat, it’s not that different from the original. Certainly the bouncing bridge will be missed
The final pic is of a friend’s costume – the Evil Queen’s magic mirror from Snow White – from the most recent OBB. It’s a spectacular outfit; one that she made herself.
