Space Mountain: Clothing Optional - All done and true even if it is April Fool's

You were asking about a Disney meet in May and I think I have figured one out, we love WGP express and really didn't have anything pressing on the the 18th so how bout we meet in DTD at WGPE for a late lunch or early dinner. Haha Dawn I'm Invading again, I just love being bad.
Hope your computer gremlins stop messing you up we need an update, I'm on the edge of my seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Office main computer running again! :worship: Yeah Dan! :thumbsup2

Here are some pics I told you about that Carsyn and some really good friends took over break. I think Carsyn looks great and for once she likes pics of herself as well and I know how critical she is of her pictures so for me that makes these even better! :goodvibes

Ok - there are more but those are the better ones...she usually will never let me snap a pic so I have more to post of the boys...now I feel better as a Mom for evening out the numbers!

I will post the next installment today! :cool1:

I saw a man named Kwame Ture in college and he impacted my thoughts more than I can do justice here. He marched alongside Martin Luther King and Malcom X and believed in Non Violence but also in not taking violence lying down either. Many things I agreed with that he spoke about and others, because I cannot imagine what he went through and what life must have been like in the times of hangings and Marches, I wish not to cast judgement.

His one question that I will never forget, nor his response to answers from a bunch of college kids who were so young and innocent, was this:

He asked: What would you die for?

Answers were: My parents, my children, my friends, teammates, girlfriends and boyfriends, neighbors, pastors etc.

He then got very quiet and said:

"I asked what you would die for and your answers were in regards to whom. Many of us would die for loved ones whether family or friends but how many of us are willing to die for something we believe in. Stand up for something not someone. That was what Martin and Malcom did. They stood up for what they believed in, knowing their life was on the line and looking their wives and children and loved ones in the face, the ones you said you would die for, and said, "Because of my belief in something bigger than you or I or our love, I am willing to risk my life and devastate all of us in hopes it will be something that will make a difference to many, not just a few."

Wow, Dawn...that's a powerful story. I'm really glad you shared it!

You are a wise woman and Treyner could only be so lucky to fall in love with someone exactly like you!

I can't say I would mind that. ;)

I knew I didn't want a "-y" name for any of my kids. I just loathe names turned into them for some reason. Harkens back to being called Dawny, most likely! Only when thinking of naming Somer, I was more concentrated on making sure her name couldn't be turned into a "-y" nickname, that I forgot about possible rhymes. She still talks about kids saying Somer is a bummer! Somer is dumber! :sad2: Kids! They'll find a way to torture each other!

I don't think there is a name out there that can't be made fun of somehow. I thought my son's name-Landon-was safe but people will say stuff like "What airport are you 'Landon' in?" And my son is 1! (Its coworkers of mine that say that.)

Do both of you Dawn's have trouble with kids pronouncing your kid's names? Since Treyner, Carsyn, and Baylor aren't conventional and Somer isn't spelled "summer"? I didn't think I would have any trouble with mine...but some people think they mishear me or SOMETHING and start calling him "Brandon". Um, NO with an "L"!!! And Landon is a fairly common name these days...:sad2:

ADDED: Those pics of Carsyn and her friends are SO cute. They all just look darling and sweet, but Carsyn stands out. I think she's prettiest!! ;) How fun that little photoshoot must've been though!

I knew I didn't want a "-y" name for any of my kids. I just loathe names turned into them for some reason. Harkens back to being called Dawny, most likely! I was Dawn -e - o from my grandfather...in fact my father named me Dawn because he hated his name having the "y" added as a nick name so he thought Dawn you could not do that with. (His name is David - Dave and hated Davey as a kid.) Only when thinking of naming Somer, I was more concentrated on making sure her name couldn't be turned into a "-y" nickname, that I forgot about possible rhymes. Treyner got Potti - trainer and Training bra - both of which I had not considered and LMAO when he told me. I got Dawn dish soap and Dawny and Marie Osmond jokes...
I was raised Catholic and baptised Catholic and I will never get over the Catholic guilt. It is what it is! I have given in. Props to you for calling a spade a spade!
I wish I would have gotten something cool like the curse of hot looks, to have to get past! :lmao:
Oh....i want to marry him.......what an AMAZING husband he is going to be for some lucky lady soon! you raised him right!!
Treyner is a good kid - and he is interested in this cheerleader girl from AZ - and she is so cute. She is smitten by him and he for her which for him, to be ga ga over someone he is not in close proximity to, is huge. He actually called me last night, had an in-depth conversation about love and emotion and feelings and his depth of honesty he shared was pretty astounding as a Mom of the boy who turns heads wherever he goes and can always get another girl to look at him if he needs to.

:rotfl: I have NEVER met anyone who went thru what i do every single night!! My dh can't understand why i can be falling down tired, and get into bed and just be wired and can't fall asleep! He can't figure out why i can't just turn it off! :rotfl: I read your post to him and he fell out of his chair laughing so hard....which is amazing because my husband doesn't laugh about anything.

off to keep cathcing up.....
It can be a sign of anxiety - hello! High strung...party of one...high strung party of one!
:Actually....i think i have heard of that cake store! If you were on my part of the state (where we have no wackey tabeckey) i'd have made a kick a$s birthday cake for Baylor!
I need to hire you then!
Corn on the cob cookies ( you are in Indiana afterall!!)

Awesome!

Fred was my nickname in highschool cause my maiden name was Sanford.
I will apply for the position, but I want it to be in my contract that Disney comes first.
Agreed!
now as far as needing someone to blame when things go awry? I will pass the buck down, Reese gets blamed for everything in our house...and out of our house, she use to deny it, but now she's like whatever, I think she has even accepted the downfall of the economy as her fault, when anything happens we just say Reese did it, sometimes she will beat us to the punch...

"Holy carp! Gas has gone up 6 cents in less then 2 hours."

Reese won't even raise an eyeborw, "I did it."
Sounds like Reese and Carsyn can commiserate!
Dawn, hey babe. You know where I stand on these issue's. You and I've had many talks about how you have to accept people where they are and know you can't change them, just yourself and how you react to them. Your doing a great job.
Thanks and I do know you believe in me and that means the world!
Hi Dawn! Lots going on around here and you haven't even made it to Disney yet!:lmao:
I know! How much more can happen on this road trip!

Hope your computer gremlins stop messing you up we need an update, I'm on the edge of my seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were on the edge of my seat...my tukkus would take me over the edge! :rolleyes1

I'm all caught up :yay:
Your updates were fantastic as usual!
Can't wait to read more :goodvibes

Wow, Dawn...that's a powerful story. I'm really glad you shared it!

Guess I was thinking of it with today being MLK day and all...

I can't say I would mind that. ;)

I know! :lmao:

you should say to them...."Wow, I did not know that Suzie (insert whoever's name here you like) was short for jackwad. Learn something new every day. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Pronouncing no - assuming Carsyn is a boy - yes...getting endings right on their names...yes...

Treyner usually gets spelled "or" and Carsyn usually gets spelled "on" and Baylor who is "or" usually gets "er!" :lmao:

ADDED: Those pics of Carsyn and her friends are SO cute. They all just look darling and sweet, but Carsyn stands out. I think she's prettiest!! ;) How fun that little photoshoot must've been though!
I will tell her and they had a blast!

Thanks - glad you are still here!:)

Tell Carsyn that she is a beautiful girl and to knock off the bad self-talk.

I know, I know, easier said than done.

Kinda ironic coming from someone who only uses pictures that I look good in...everyone else could be cross eyed with boogers coming out their nose, but if I look good, that's the one I'm using.

Such adorable pictures of Carsyn and her friends. She is a beautiful girl~~ both inside and out!!

I hate nicknames too, so I purposely choose names that couldn't be shortened. Of course, I always wanted a name that ended in -y when I was growing up so Lily got stuck with that!! Lily has turned into LilyBug (although not as much now as when she was little) and I call her LilyBeth a lot of the time (because her middle name is Elizabeth.) No one has called Morgan any kind of nickname that I know of, though.

Gorgeous photos, they all are beautiful girls and look as though they're having so much fun and I see you have snow ;) :rotfl:

Those were great pictures, Carsyn is gorgeous. She is the prettiest one in the bunch and they were all pretty but carsyn stands out.
Reese used to go through phases where she thought she was fat, (she's a size 0 to a 1) and she wouldn't eat for a few days, she hated all pictures of herself and made me take them down, but once she quit cheerleading her self image changed, it did a 180. for the past year she has been in love with herself, her butt being her favorite. every once in a while she will have what she calls a "fat day" so she will only eat vegetables for the day but then the next day she is over it. Girls are so hard on themselves, I was hard on myself in highschool, I thought I was fat, now I look back at pictures and think I wasted a lot of time worrying about my looks and I didn't need to.

What a beautiful group of girls! Tell Carsyn not to be so hard on herself, she's gorgeous!!!

Yeah, people have trouble spelling her name & pronouncing her name - people will call her SOmer (long o sound). But, then again, people have trouble pronouncing Dawn correctly down here in the Deep South. It's mangled a lot with the twang. But it's all good. As long as they don't sing Delta Dawn to me, I'm ok.

Landon is a wonderful name! It's such as strong, manly name. Brings to mind Michael Landon for me, which is a good thing - I had the biggest crush on him when I was younger.

Treyner got Potti - trainer and Training bra - both of which I had not considered and LMAO when he told me. I got Dawn dish soap and Dawny and Marie Osmond jokes...

Other than the Dawn-y, which my family was guiltiest of, was people to this day singing Delta Dawn at me. Probably stems from being Debra Dawn, but, come on...do you really think you're being original with that reference? Oh, well. Oh, and I got the occasional crude "Crack of Dawn" joke. But, it could have been worse. I had a friend in highschool named Tyra Scutt. The things kids did with her name. Sheesh! She actually legally changed her last name when she graduated. Poor thing.

Carsyn is just beautiful! I love all the pics of the girls. It looks like they were having a blast.

Thanks for all the nice thoughts about Carsyn's pics... I will have her read them later when she is home!

To make you all feel a bit giggly this evening...and I think it is funny no matter what your gender...a lil diddy for the day!

For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk free?" :confused3 :headache:

Here's an update for you! :thumbsup2

Now a days, 80% of women are against marriage. :scared1:

Why? :confused3

 :teacher:

Because women realize its not worth buying the entire pig just to get a little sausage!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Tell Carsyn I said "Hellllllloooooo Beautiful!" and that she sure travels with a cute group of girls!

Those pictures of Carsyn and her friends are amazing. I am so glad they weren't around when I went to school because dealing with all that beauty in one place might make me want to slit my wrists. AND they look like a lot of fun on top of it all. Quite a combination. I know Carsyn is also really smart so if you tell me all her friends are too, I might have to go home and drink myself into a stupor tonight. Just saying. And I'm what? 20 years or more older than them? Like I need that kind of competition for the single men as soon as they graduate from HS.

Oh, and thanks for that joke. I needed it after being on the phone all day long taking audition appointments. Gotta love actors. I'm just not sure why.

Too funny Dawn, I can't wait to tell the girls at work this one. I work with some raunchy minded ladies who would totally get a kick out of it.

The name thing, Reese's name is Marrisa, pronounced Mareesa. But everybody calls her Marisa, she even changed the spelling of her name to M A R E E S A, but people still say it wrong, and then they ask why her nickname is Reese, she gets the teasing Mareeses pieces. she said one guy just calls her peanut butter cup, which I am guilty of that but I am the Mom and allowed to be guilty of that.

beautiful pictures!

The corn cookies were so easy, it's an easter egg cutter.
