It was a great way to hear something that made everyone feel a bit lighthearted.Great update, and I am sorry for your loss. That is great news about the life insurance, especially in these uncertain economic times. It's great that Nathan left a llittle something to smile about in the wake of tragedy. It really shows his personality![]()
I was laughing...and hoping my jeans gave him a rash!It is so good to see kids sticking up for each other, that's when you know that despite what they say, they love each other.
I know...sometimes you wonder if they really would vote one of the island!
As for the idiots laughing.....well, I can't think of anything "dis friendly".
It was the only time it happened on the trip. For us that is actually pretty good numbers!
Your trip on the love train had me laughing.
It was really an awesome day and rude people are just part of the world ya know. I think you just realize it more often at WDW because you have this vision of rainbows and unicors and everyone being in a "We are the World" moment.Sorry you encountered so many rude people that day, first on the train and then the rude girls. Good on Carsyn wanting to stick up for her brother but I'm glad she didn't need to take it any further![]()
He was totally like that. Just an awesome man.Great update Dawn!!
I love how your kids really stick up for one another and have each other's backs. I hope someday my kids will reach that point. Right now, not so much! LOL! They have their moments.
Mine have always been each others biggest protectors. They also have caused the most dameage to one another as well on accident so your enemy may be closer than you think!
I'm glad there was something happy to hear about Nathan that made you smile. I'm sure it's hard to do at a time like that, but it sounds like that's the kind of guy he was - making people smile!
Your kids are too cute, and the love that is between them was so evident when I met them! They can give each other as much h@ll as can be dished out, but anybody else better watch out!
True enough!
I wish you'd gotten a picture on the love train, but probably the picture in my head is funny enough!
I have one picture...

This is the back of the kids heads and Dan's knee. I was in top row squished in the corner, Dan was one row up on the opposite end and the kids ended up in the front row. Ricky Ricardo was on my lap I tell you when he was not being mushy with Lamar Burton. It was like a United Nations threesome with me not an invited guest!![]()
When my dad died, the line at the visitation was out the front door of the funeral home and the wait was about 2 hours. That meant so much to me~ to see the love that people had for him and hear their stories. I know that it meant just as much to you to know how much Nathan was loved!
I checked out your Al's video and I remember that one! Pretty funny because I am not a regular viewer of the show! I totally remember the small seating area and the food looks delicious! Especially the eggs benedict. Holliandaise sauce makes everything taste better
I have never had it...eggs benedict...ever! Now I know what I will try next time!
So awesome that your kids have each others back....two of my nephews are very close in age and they not only get along very well but would most definitely stick up for each other as well.

Some people will always be cruel and the majority will always be great. Part of life and that includes knowing who will stick by your side!I am so very sorry for your loss, Dawn. What a lovely update. It breaks my heart to know that those girls were making fun of him but warms my heart at the same time to know that his brother and sister united to protect him.
Hang in there!
Totally agree! That silver lining amongst the sadness is overwhelming.Good post, babe. You gots good kids.![]()
Hearing about the insurance upgrade for his family was outstanding. Kisses from God, kisses from God my friend.
I loved yourr AK updates. I can't tell you how many times I have been seperated from my kids on train/trams because people can't stop for a second and let the people who were first board first. Good job spreading out and taking some room from the lovers. I would have been very tempted to stab something sharp into his @ss, I say don't put your butt out there for me to see cause you won't get it back in the same condition...and speaking of fubaring a derrier, GOOD JOB CARYSN!. Even though she never got the chance to do it, that might be a good thing for those girls.
Can you just see us getting hauled off in handcuffs for fighting at AK? That would be an eppisode buster on COPS for sure!
I am sorry to hear about your familys cousin, I know I'm late with this but the sentiment is still the same. I pray that your family heals quickly from this loss and that the hurting will become less and the happy memories be dominant.
I laugh only because I have to do the math too in order to figure out how old I am ... and I was also born in '71.
I am seriously wanting to go. Dan wants somewhere new...so maybe a split stay in Orlando and elsewhere!Ok, now I'm confused. I thought we were always talking about NEXT year for our big 40th birthday bash at the world. Didn't we say April 2011??? I am so confused.
Yes but I at one point switched in my head that I was turning 40 this year and just was going to celebrate late. Good grief. Who knows. Let's just celebrate 4 times a year so we have it all covered!
I finally got caught up on all the TR from the weekend. We had auditions here and I could have used Carsyn for some backup a couple of times. I need her to be old enough to go out to bars before I'm TOO old to go out. I think we could get in some trouble!!
She might be ready to be a foreign exchange stuudent next year! Knoxville and St. Louis are technically foreign!
Are you still thinking about October? I hope so. I'm full-blown into planning that trip since the Feb. trip is done being planned. Now all I have to do is survive an airport at 5 am with 17 teenagers!! Disney better be ready!
That is a riot!at least you have never been walking into a casino and had the security person ask for your ID, give it to him and then they ask you how old you are, i said uhhh, hey hun how old am I, she tells me my age i tell the lady then the lady just glares at me...i say what i forget those things often.
I thought it was only me!
it took a few more forms of ID for me to be allowed in that day.
needless to say i ask the wife how old i am now when i know i will be asked. especially before i enter a casino again.
this story happened when i was 22.
OMG Dawn how funny you were a year out, I'm 37 today so am a long way off 40![]()
BTW can you remember when 40 sounded soooooo old and now we're almost there

Denial denial denial! Is that true? Am I really 30? Is this a joke? They made me do math....on my birthday! Hurt me, beat me, tell me I'm turning 30?! I got my first gray hair that night and I swore I heard my bones creak. I aged 1 year in less then 1 minute!
Amen! Although my first gray hair was last year!
"Mom said "I thought you would take turning 30 a little hard, that's why we planned to come out here for your Birthday."
I could hardly talk, "Yea, but I thought I was only turning 29.":
