Space Mountain: Clothing Optional - All done and true even if it is April Fool's

I'm still catching up on your TR.... it doubled the pages in the week I was gone! :scared1:

The BFE story had me laughing aloud, AGAIN! and the 'where the hair went pic' made me snort. And here I thought I was a lady.

I did want to chime in about the weight loss thread. I would SO be interested. I am on weightwatchers online and have decide weightwatchers really means watching your weight go up and down on the scale, like a vertical tennis match. Know what I mean?

I have tried to post on the WW boards and feel like I'm intruding. Would definitely like the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a support group! :goodvibes

Let me know whatever way you decide to go. I'll be a member of the weightloss thread regardless of where you decide to start/re-start.

And as I'm typing this. I kid you not. My husband just returned from the grocery store and handed my 7 yr old son a package of feminine napkins to him and told him to take them to my bathroom. My DS7 stops and looks at them and asks DH what they are and my DH replies that they are ""mommie's special hankies. To which my DS7 responds, with complete incredulous "Momma wears diapers?!"

:faint:

:lmao:

I so agree about buffets and especially breakfast ones. We never get our moneys worth as we just don't eat enough. I'd definitely prefer to spend the same amount on a nice steak and dessert :thumbsup2
Exactly!
How sweet that the boys got a special dessert even though you weren't sure what it was and so pleased no one was sick :rotfl:
Me too!
OMG we had Ricky a few mornings at the GF, he is a riot isn't he, so funny :)
He is a hoot but I think it was lost on some of the stuffy crumudgins!:confused3 :lmao:
:rotfl2: Well I've got 3 golf matches in the next 4 days so all weather is golfing weather in the UK :rotfl2:
We had rain over the weekend...in January! :scared1: Now freezing rain and snow and going to be 30 below windchill tom morning! It was 40 this weekend. Crazy weather I tell ya!
You flatterer you :goodvibes Seriously though I could do with losing a stone (14 pounds) I lost about 4 or 5 in WDW but put them all back on :sad2: maybe I need to move to Florida :rotfl:
So is that a yeah or neah to a new group?
That CM sounds like the ones at Universal. :lmao:
But not crazy tampon lady crazy ya know! :lmao:
I'm still catching up on your TR.... it doubled the pages in the week I was gone! :scared1:
Sorry!
The BFE story had me laughing aloud, AGAIN! and the 'where the hair went pic' made me snort. And here I thought I was a lady.
Ladies can laugh!

This is so classic! I am LMAO! :lmao:

"Ladies can laugh."

But can they snort?!!?

:lmao:

Cus I do. I'll admit it. Hello my name is Gellybean and I snort.

There.

:yay: for the new group!! So excited!!!!!!!!!

I'm in on the weight loss group, although you know that I'll be asking for support the most this summer as I go through the WLS. I've got another appointment next Wednesday with my surgeon. Hopefully, I can convince him that I'm a candidate for the surgery that I want.

I just can't get that excited about breakfast buffets because they all seem the same. I do want to see AKL though. Everyone always ooh's and aah's over the lobby! I'm thinking about booking a Boma dinner or Jiko for October so that we can see it.

Chapter 5 - "How Vomit can lead to Snuggies"

P1030202.jpg

Ummmm…I did not know they had zoning for that outside at Disney.

:rotfl: I could not breath I was laughing so hard at this. My kids kept asking me what I was laughing at. :lmao: Thanks that was the hardest I've laughed in while.

I would love to be involved in a new weight loss group. I have a bunch to lose.

Chapter Five Cont'd - "Mama Taught You How to Move"

The bus ride to AK was uneventful and we disembarked and headed to the main gates.

P1030209.jpg

P1030210.jpg

We had tickets and just needed to stop and get Baylor’s guest access card. He has done really well healing this past year and I was reminded how bad last year was with his leg. Now, his biggest issues is standing for long periods of time as the nerve endings are not healed yet in his foot. It feels like when you have hand or foot fall asleep except painful as he explains it. So the access card will eliminate him waiting in lines for a long time.

We got that and then, headed in, admiring the beautifully decorated park as we meandered towards Afreeeeca.

P1030212.jpg

Me and Carsyn…(hello…if you need a reason for weight loss…dial one…if you still have your head in the sand…dial two…if you are just lazy and have not ever committed to a life change, dial three…if you are not smart enough to answer yet, please press five for an operator to kick your tukkus.)

That darn ole tree came into view and it gets me every time. Never fails. I admit…I tear up.

P1030213.jpg

Love these pictures!

Like me some flamingos!

P1030216.jpg

As we entered Afreeeeca, we heard the drums and the kids took off. I don’t care how many times they see the dancers and the drummers, my kids will stand in line to see them again. The show was just getting started and we pointed at Treyner to get picked to go up and then Treyner pointed out Baylor and he got dragged up as well. :thumbsup2

This my Dis friends, was the point of the trip that changed my view of Baylor. Baylor, the kid who has hidden in the shadows of his big brother forever. Baylor, who is quiet, mumbles his words and a lot of times will avoid eye contact with people he does not know. Baylor who hates being center stage as much as Treyner loves it, has came into his own.

The old Baylor would have shrugged his head and hung it down as his face turned beet red.

The new Baylor…well he got his groove on like Stella.

He moved his hips, his arms and laughed like he was having the best time. :cool1: He did not wait to see exactly what Treyner was going to do to make his own moves. Baylor can dance! He seriously can dance and Carsyn and I stood with our mouths on the floor (Versus our pants!…Okay moan if ya must!) and she got her cell out and I took pics like crazy.

I will post the pictures until I can’t post any more and then I will continue it on in the next installment because, as much as this is for you guys, this is for me and my kids too and this is a moment I do not want to forget a memory of. This is two brothers just having fun. Not the burned brother. Not the collegiate athlete.

Just Treyner and Baylor and I cried watching them because one year ago, I could not have imagined they could be as good as they were at that moment. The oldest, in college, making his own way in this world, even if it was not the path even 6 months ago he assumed he would be on. The youngest, becoming confident in his self worth and value and not letting his injury dictate his openness to others and himself.

I hope you enjoy them and can see the joy within them.

OK - Dawn, this just made me cry! Such a wonderful moment and they look like they are having an awesome time!!

Oooooo Dawn...I have tears in my eyes I have to admit, friend! What beautiful pictures of your boys. It's so cool to see siblings enjoy each other as much as yours obviously do. I love how free Baylor looks even though you can clearly see the bandage on his legs. It's evident that he doesn't care and neither should anyone else!! They look like they were having a fabulous time getting their groove on!

And, I must need someone to kick my tukkus, 'cause I only see a beautiful mother and daughter in that first shot of you & Carsyn. Definitely not anyone who needs to worry about their looks! You are gorgeous!!

Chapter 5 Cont'd again - Round 3

After the line dance was done, they separated the girls and guys and had them dance separately. The guys had to stand behind the girls and the boys enjoyed the view!

Then, when it was almost over and I had laughed and cried till I could not take it anymore…they noticed Baylor’s B-day button and brought him up front for a solo!

I need to find a way to transfer the video better - I tried photo bucket but it was really blury after the transfer - on the cell phone it is clear but then - something happens! Ugh!

Hello my name is Gellybean and I snort.

There.

She is looking for a 12 step program folks...

:yay: for the new group!! So excited!!!!!!!!!
I will have it up by Friday. :scared1:
I'm in on the weight loss group, although you know that I'll be asking for support the most this summer as I go through the WLS. I've got another appointment next Wednesday with my surgeon. Hopefully, I can convince him that I'm a candidate for the surgery that I want.
I hope you get the answers you seek!

Totally must and Dan and I are going to be on for October...he does not know this but he will be!
:rotfl: I could not breath I was laughing so hard at this. My kids kept asking me what I was laughing at. :lmao: Thanks that was the hardest I've laughed in while.
I am just sayin that grass looked itchy...
I would love to be involved in a new weight loss group. I have a bunch to lose.
Me too sister!
Those are very awesome pictures Dawn. It is great that Baylor is coming into his own. The boys looked so happy and like they were havimg a blast.
I loved these pictures so much. I am glad you liked them.
OK - Dawn, this just made me cry! Such a wonderful moment and they look like they are having an awesome time!!
I did not mean for you to cry! Sorry!
Oooooo Dawn...I have tears in my eyes I have to admit, friend! What beautiful pictures of your boys. It's so cool to see siblings enjoy each other as much as yours obviously do. He did not wear his compression sock the other day to his friends house and this was huge. Hopefully it will be a sign of better times to come.
And, I must need someone to kick my tukkus, 'cause I only see a beautiful mother and daughter in that first shot of you & Carsyn. Definitely not anyone who needs to worry about their looks! You are gorgeous!!

Folks...she needs Gelly's 12 step program cause she has nippin on Pappys moonshine! :rolleyes1

Thanks for that Shannon. can't wait to come to see you soon! :woohoo:

First, I could be persuaded to join a weight loss thread. I can use some help I'm only half motivated. That would be the half that knows I need to lose weight, not the half that actually does anything about it. I have a goal and a timeline, so I guess that's a place to start!

Second - I've said it before and I'll say it again. You have a GORGEOUS family!!! Oh man! I love the pictures of the boys dancing!!! They just ooze happiness and you can see that they are having a blast! Your story about Baylor coming into his own was really special to read. I love how you write with such great humor and also such passion about your family. It is wonderful!!

Third - that CM about the buses was too funny!! I love how gullible some people are! We've had a few that joke around like that and I love it!

Girl you look great and so happy, the kids look awesome and I seriously think Baylor is gonna give Treynor a run for his money. They looked like they were having a ball. Haven't been on lately so I had to catch up, been trying to catch up here after everything so hopefully I'm there now. We have never eaten at AKL but were considering DVC and that would be our home base so we toured it, absolutely gorgeous but my fav is still WL. The adventure never ends with you so I'll keep reading and enjoying.

:lmao: with the antics of the bus CM!

:goodvibes at the brothers :banana:Those pictures are just terrific!... a picture says a thousand words, those sure do!:)

Family photo is just beautiful!:thumbsup2

You HAVE to stay at AKL one day,it is so amazing! When the bellhop opened our curtains and giraffes were looking back at me I cried...so beautiful!

I got all misty eyed seeing your boys having so much fun! It's great that they don't feel they're too cool to play along....

oh, and you will NEVER catch me doing it because I just know there will be some disser filming it and post a warning against hot fudge and cheesecake.

I have never posted a video before but have a few that are awesome that need to be seen! So I need help from you smart people!

I iwll be back!
Really? you think I'm smart? :teacher: flatery will get you everywhere, however I don't know how to post videos.

I would totally join a weight loss thread, I have plateaued SP? in my wieght loss, I can't seem to lose anymore, I even cut out the peanut butter and butter midnight sandwhich.

Oh hey, have you ever tried peanut butter and miracle whip sandwhich? I used to live on those as a kid, the thought of it now makes me sick, but really how cool is the person who decided to put miracle whip on a peanut butter sandwhich? Think it was an accident?

Things that make you go Hhmmmmmm!

I loved the pictures of Treyner and Baylor dancing, and the feelings you had about it were priceless, do you share these thoughts with Baylor? I'm sure he has to know just how much he means to you and how every step forward is an inspiration to every body.

It's wierd, well maybe wierd isn't the word I'm looking for, but basically it took something major to happen in my son Jimmy's life for me to see his full potential and how far he has come. I sometimes wonder what would my relationship with Jim be had he not gone through his struggle. I know I would be proud of him regardless, but would I know just how awesome he really is if I hadn't seen him fight his way back.

Baylor is such a cool kid, his story and your relationship with your children, to this day still blesses my heart. To turn things back to a lighter note I will just say that I will stalk these boards till the day I die just to watch your kids grow.

I am sitting here this morning and feel just really blessed to be alive and have them. For me - I need to lose weight so I can be here with them and for them and participate in life so I don't lose them. I just wish I would have gotten the drive/dedication sooner. They are my heart and they are my center and without each of them, I would never be the same.
Third - that CM about the buses was too funny!! I love how gullible some people are! We've had a few that joke around like that and I love it!
It makes the whole day better and I think it is just because they are happy to be there. No fake warm fuzzy - just truly magic.
Girl you look great and so happy, the kids look awesome and I seriously think Baylor is gonna give Treynor a run for his money. I do to. He will be taller and he is actually more sensitive to others so he will make a woman beyond blessed someday. They looked like they were having a ball. Haven't been on lately so I had to catch up, been trying to catch up here after everything so hopefully I'm there now. We have never eaten at AKL but were considering DVC and that would be our home base so we toured it, absolutely gorgeous but my fav is still WL. Thanks and I am glad you have stayed with us and will be here till the end! :lovestruc
:goodvibes at the brothers :banana:Those pictures are just terrific!... a picture says a thousand words, those sure do!:)
Family photo is just beautiful!:thumbsup2
You are too kind! :cloud9:
You HAVE to stay at AKL one day,it is so amazing! When the bellhop opened our curtains and giraffes were looking back at me I cried...so beautiful!
Ya know - I love giraffes, I really do and it would be amazing to see them that close.
I got all misty eyed seeing your boys having so much fun! It's great that they don't feel they're too cool to play along....
I never had that confidence as a child - or even young adult. Way to self concious and now I wonder why?

oh, and you will NEVER catch me doing it because I just know there will be some disser filming it and post a warning against hot fudge and cheesecake.
I know! Like it would be a new "Stacy's" top 10 things you should not eat before you come to Disney and here is why. Then there would be fat photos of people in the background of family photos. I always know walking down Mainstreet USA that my tukkus will be on someones fridge for motivation. :rolleyes1

I would totally join a weight loss thread, I have plateaued SP? in my wieght loss, I can't seem to lose anymore, I even cut out the peanut butter and butter midnight sandwhich.
I am going to make you stick to it girl!
Oh hey, have you ever tried peanut butter and miracle whip sandwhich? I used to live on those as a kid, the thought of it now makes me sick, but really how cool is the person who decided to put miracle whip on a peanut butter sandwhich? Think it was an accident?
I love peanut butter but hate Miracle Whip...I would probably vomit. How bout some peanut butter and bacon sandwiches? Yummmo!

I loved the pictures of Treyner and Baylor dancing, and the feelings you had about it were priceless, do you share these thoughts with Baylor? I'm sure he has to know just how much he means to you and how every step forward is an inspiration to every body.
I am going to sit down and have him read this soon - he usually gets embarrassed about me gushing over him. I am a sucky scrapbooker and never did good with baby book but we have vacationed all over and my memory is good. I am thinking of doing TR's like this with photos throughout the year and leaving a family legacy for them through words. I have a bizillion pics and no format in how to keep them so if I at least get them in an album (for the old ones with no CD - I have no clue how to scan - maybe I can learn) and then write the story for them - I would feel great about myself as their mom. I have tons of pics of my grandparents and my family when I was young and no history in words to go with the pics.

I always wonder, what were they thinking and what were the emotions at the time of the picture.

You don't need to say more because I get it. We plan on going to World Burn Congress this year in Galveston, TX and I wonder how much that will be a turning point for us also.
Baylor is such a cool kid, his story and your relationship with your children, to this day still blesses my heart. To turn things back to a lighter note I will just say that I will stalk these boards till the day I die just to watch your kids grow.
Thank You Ty. From the bottom of my soul - Thank You.:flower3:

How awesome for Baylor. :goodvibes I know at his age all I wanted to do was fade into the background.

Maybe if I read along with your weight loss thread I'd become motivated. My DH is being deployed and I need to be thinner when he comes home instead of heavier as I fear may happen.
