Hi. We have a reservation at 8:30 at Space 220 but we are looking for a drink first. Can we enter the lounge for a drink before dinner? Or….is there a lounge at the Garden Grille in the Land Pavilion? We are done with the walking and world showcase for the day…all adults on the wind down.

Any info is appreciated.

It's highly unlikely they will let you walk up to the 220 lounge prior to your restaurant reservation unless they miraculously have spots open at the bar (unlikely as people wait quite a long time for those spots and the lounge also takes reservations). Maybe consider stopping at Connections Eatery - it's a QS, but they have some beer, wine and cocktail selections.

Space 220 Lounge is reservation only, and as it’s still one of the hottest reservations on property it will be unlikely you’ll be able to walk up and get a spot. La Cava has a few tables, but there is generally a line for those, but you can get a (pre-mixed) margarita to go. Rose and Crown has a pub with about three tables, and you can also walk up to the bar and grab a drink - they have a full bar. You can get wine in France and find your own place to sit. If you want a true lounge, you can exit at the International Gateway and head to Beach Club to Martha’s Vineyard or Yacht Club to Ale & Compass or Abracadabar on the Boardwalk. Food & Wine is going on, so you could grab a drink and a snack and head to the Odyssey Pavillion and grab a table in the A/C. It’s not a far walk from there to Space 220. They offer an orange beer flight at the kiosk inside that Pavillion currently that was pretty tasty.

You may know this but the Land pavilion and Space are on opposite sides of Future World, which has a new name I will never learn. Closest to Space 220, not counting Food and Wine booths, would be a drink from Mexico, Norway or China. You can view menus to see what they have as “ quick serve” from walk up windows.

Yes, thank you. We really just didnt want to walk back to WS. 20,000 steps and counting - I hit my max! LOL

Space 220 must have had some last minute (2 hour) cancellations because we walked over at 7:15 and explained we had an 8:30 but wanted to know if they could seat us early and they did.

This has been high on my list since it opened. However, I was not as impressed as I thought I would be. Food was good, not fantastic. Atmosphere was pretty cool but not a huge WOW like I thought. Price tag was $100 pp with a drink each and tip. I wouldn’t say outrageously priced but definitely high for the quality. I had the duck- eh - I’ve had much better. My company had the short ribs, very good but not uncommon. The apple salad my sister had is the same one on the menu at GF Cafe, so again, not uncommon. Desserts were good-no where near as delicious as the chocolate cake at TOTW Villians Lair.

It was a nice experience, but not one I will do with DH, he would be very underwhelmed. I am glad I did it and got it out if my system, but I do not plan to go again.

I agree with everything you said, As a Disney “pro” to my friends, they ask me about Space 220 and I hesitate to tell them it’s average because it’s such a hot commodity and I’ll admit it’s a cool vibe. We’ve been in both the lounge and the restaurant two times each (but won’t go again), so I think we’ve had enough experience to draw that conclusion. I just tell them that it’s one of a kind and expensive and if they can get a reservation and want to go for it, they should!
