Spa Treatments @ GF included in Discovery Magic

Thanks Imbe@aol.com for the info on the Discovery Magic package. When we first planned our trip, we had bought that package, but Disney could not give me the "details" of the package. They were very general about it and gave me verbally what the wishes could be used for. When I asked for something in writing about what the wishes could be used for, they didn't have anything. I mainly wanted it to plan our trip. We decided to cancel the package because I couldn't see paying so much money for something they couldn't even give us in writing. Anyway, our trip is planned without the package and we're ready to go. It's great though for people to at least get the "details" of what the Discovery Magic package offers.

Rab, I tried twice via the "Contact Us" link and once via CRO to get any of the package booklets. Disney kept e-mailing me the same stuff that is found on their website, and they told me the package booklets didn't exist (I knew that was a lie because I had a 2001 booklet that I had picked up during my Christmas vacation). I was annoyed. I finally contacted my favorite Concierge Cast Member and asked him if he could find me something, anything, regarding the packages. That wonderful man did. He sent me all three package plan booklets, and this year's version, too. I would like to note that when I tried to get those booklets via the "Contact Us" link, I told Disney that I had a Grand Plan booked and wanted to know exactly what was and was not covered. I told them that if I couldn’t make an informed decision, I would have to cancel my package. Luckily for them, my wonderful Cast Member came through and I decided to keep my package based upon what I read in those booklets.

By the way, for anyone thinking of a package deal, don't forget to check out the new DISavers service -- they are saving me several hundred dollars on my package. Here's the DISavers link.

Note: Everything Disney is subject to change. Please contact them to see if the items that were listed in their 2002 booklet are still in effect. I do know that at least one tour that is stated in the 2002 Grand Plan booklet has been dropped this year.

Goofygal531, you're welcome. I gather so much wonderful information through this incredible website, that any time I can pass something along, I try to.

I too thank you. I am wondering where I can get that booklet, as I am booked for DM the last week of May. Can you tell me what the booklet is titled exactly, and I will see if I can be so lucky. Thank you! This site is so helpful to us over-planners and disney obsessed people!:D

Janet2K-

Do you have any information on the Deluxe Magic Package? I've tried several times through the link on Disney's website to request information and never have received anything. Plus I called and spoke w/ a Cast Member and they said they didn't have anything in writing and started to tell me what the perks were on the phone.

I'd really rather have something in writing to find out exactly how my fiancee and I are going to plan our honeymoon.

Thanks!:p

I've been so busy lately and haven't had much time to devote to the Dis. However, this weekend I have decided to veg out and escape from the reality of my dreary life. I will definitely be finishing up the Discovery Magic vacation package information hopefully tonight. Once I'm done, I'll post it. Then I will work on the Deluxe Magic vacation package and post that too (I don't know if that will be this weekend, though). After those two vacation packages are all typed up, I'll work on the Grand Plan. Hang in there. There is a lot of valuable information regarding those plans in the booklets that I have and the plans are surprisingly similar (for the most part).

Here is the link to the Discovery Magic Vacation Package thread that I just posted. I hope it helps answer some questions regarding that plan. As with all things Disney, it is best to check with Disney directly regarding any vacation package. That thread is an attempt to at least get a little info about that package posted here so that others may learn about it and decide for themselves if they want to book a package deal. I was surprised by all the things that particular vacation package contains. It seems like a great way to experience WDW.

This is all my humble opinion and others' opinions will vary, as it should be.
