If I wanted to check out the outdoor spa features. Would I be able just to book a salon service like a men's hot shave?

No. Unfortunately to gain access to the garden you must book a $188 massage or facial (don’t remember the cost). I don’t really like either massages or facials but wanted to go and hoped to do so with a salon service and was told no.

So if the package falls under spa therapies, wouldn’t all the facilities be available. My husband booked the transitional shave and haircut….

I would tend to agree - but randomly they list a men’s shave under “spa therapies” in the men’s treatments. It includes a scalp massage etc. so maybe it is - or they should move it to avoid confusion.

Where are you seeing this? "Spa therapies" is not a category on the menu.

We called the spa….DH went with a facial (vs what he really wanted - shave and haircut) so he could use the outdoor spa facilities. Couldn’t do that with a shave and haircut
