We just found out after we had booked out vacation that our DS who is 1 has to have rice or soy milk due to an allergy. Anyone know if anywhere in WDW where they sell rice or soy? We will be renting a car, but wont be getting to the resort until close to midnight. Id like to go straight to the park the next morning and get milk the following evening.

My DGD has an allergy to dairy. My DGD contacted Disney and was told that soy milk is available at all TS ans CS restaurants. She has gotten a lot of assistance from the DIS abilities forum. The people there are very knowledgeable and will help you.

OP, I just wanted to be sure you were aware that rice milk doesn't have nearly enough fat or protein for a toddler, so shouldn't be a straight substitute for cow's milk. It's fine as a beverage (so as an alternative to water, for instance), but not as a dietary staple (the way cow's milk can be for lots of toddlers). Soy milk has enough protein, but is low in fat, so you'd want to be sure your DS is getting enough fat from other sources.

My DD outgrew her dairy allergy, but we just gave her water to drink prior to that.

I appreciate your concern however my DS has to have Rice or soy, and now soy is in question for him due to diaherrea. Its to the point of it burning is bottom and bleeding.

He gets fortified rice and soy milk so I am not concerned at this point.:) My DS is also in the 95% for weight.

Yeah, something like 15-25% of kids with cow's milk protein allergies will either have a coexisting or subsequent soy allergy. We had wheat and dairy for awhile, and once you get more than one major food in there, your options are really limited.

Fortified rice milk (I'm thinking something along the lines of fortified Rice Dream) is vitamin and mineral fortified, not fat and protein fortified. But as long as your DS is getting a balanced diet, it doesn't really matter what the components are. :)

My DD is 4 and drinks rice dream and has since she turned 1. (She is very healthy) and I am ordering it from Garden Grocer and having it delivered to our hotel.
