Imperial Cities: As I said in another thread, I'm a fridge magnet kinda girl. One of my sons brought home a can (empty!) of cannabis tea, which is sold at the rest stops in the Czech Republic. I'm sure it was full when he bought it.

It's a nice pencil holder.
Seriously, besides the fridge magnet from Vienna, I bought one book, one t-shirt, and one coffee mug. I figured the trip was expensive enough.
Viva Italia: We made an unscheduled stop on the way to Florence to a picturesque hill, which was pretty much a parking lot with souvenir stands set up. (The view from this stop was amazing, though!) One of the vendors gave us all a key chain made of some inexpensive metal with "Florence" written on one side and a portion of the... uh... anatomy of David on the other side. Raised, no less.
It was worth it to hand it to my sons when I got home and get their reactions.
Seriously, again, the Limoncello was a nice souvenir while it lasted, and I still love my purse from Florence and use it often. The best souvenirs, however, were the Venetian masks we made! Even though my husband's looks like it belongs to a Mexican wrestler, it still hangs proudly on the wall.
