I've never bothered with these on our previous trips, my DD isn't one for needing lots of fluids, and we're never at DLRP during hot weather.

I'm sure I've seen them advertised in the counter-service restaurants - you pay extra to get a sturdy plastic drinks cup. But do they offer free refills using these cups at DLRP, or is it just a souvenir???

I am afraid they are just souvenirs, not even any discounts (but this is normal in Disney Parks). As it is, the all you can drink mugs that used to be offered in the states have disappeared from DL and they have clamped down at WDW.

Thanks Dave - my sister and her kids are coming with us soon, and I'll need to forewarn her (they are used to the free refills when they go to Alton Towers).

DLP is very pricy in the drinks department, hence why we buy a crate of drinks and bring them in the car, saves us a fortune.

I think I might suggest we fill up the kids drinks bottles with drinks bought from the garage next to the Santa Fe, or the shop in the train station. They'll be topped up during the day at lunch etc.

The shop in the train station is cheaper, or the Auchen in Val D'Europe is cheaper still (if they were interested in the Aquarium and such).

the other common advice I see about drinks bottles is to fill them up at the water fountains around the park.

This is usually a suggestion made for filling empty coke bottles etc, but I'm sure it would work just as well filling the souvenir cups.
