Souvenir question

I tried searching for the answer today, but no dice...

Does Disney still do the thing where if you're staying onsite and make a souvenir purchase in one of the parks, they'll ship the item back to your room for you?

The reason I'm asking is because I ran across this listed somewhere as a 'perk' of going concierge. I haven't been down there in a while, but I guess I always thought this was available to all Disney Resort guests.

I think that now they deliver it to a central place at your resort, but I could be wrong. I know they used to deliver it right to your room, but I think that has changed, at least at Disney Vacation Club resorts.

We were at WDW just last month and yes they will send it to your hotel (usually were the hotel sales gifts and you pick it up there) if you want or for extra charge they will send it to your home address too.
But they do let you know that it can take up to two days to go to your hotel so I wouldn't do it if you were near the end of your trip.
We didn't use it but our friends who went with us did and loved doing it.

MK's Keys to the Kingdom tour gives a peek inside how they coordinate and transport those sovenier packages to the hotels. The reason I'm adding this is I had completely forgot about that part of the tour and when I read your post it clicked instantly. Guess I should say thanks for helping me recall a memory that made me all gooey inside.

Yes, they still send things back to your room, but not everyone does that. We got the sillouettes done at MK and they can't ship back to your room. You can also have them sent to the package pick up spot by the entrance of the park, which was handy. I prefered to do that because they say the packages sent to your room could take a day or more to get there.

I would like to pick them up before leaving the park. That's very good to know.

They do not send packages back to you room anymore (our visit in 1999 they did, by our next trip in 2003 it had changed) what they do is send them to the resort gift shop. It takes about a day, you will get a phone call to say that your package is ready for you to pick up. I don't know if it is different for concierge guests, that would be a nice perk for them if they did deliver to the rooms, but I don't know.

Concierge guest do get the packages delivered to their rooms.
