:earsgirl: Hi there, looking for ideas for Disney souvenirs for both our family :earsgirl: :earsboy: :moped: :jester: and for relatives back home. :jumping1: Thanks.

My kids enjoyed collecting the pressed Pennies. They have these presses all over Disney. Each has a different picture. It costs 50 cents plus the penny. Also, we like to collect the pictures that the Cm's take of you on your way into the park. As for relatives, there is a store in Downtown Disney that has all kinds of Disney homeware. I forget what it is called...but you can find some neat things in there. Oh, yeah...my kids wanted to bring their friends back something, and I didn't want to spend a lot. We ended up getting them Disney pencils and pens.

Your best bet is to head to either the Orlando Premier Outlet Mall or the two outlets at the Belz Outlets.

You can usually pick up great souvies for real cheap!

Hi Scratch,

Thanks for the ideas. Now how to get there from Disney. We are staying at PC but don't have a rental car. How do we get to the malls? thanks

I agree with the outlet mall suggestion. I've found pins for less than $5 and t-shirts and sweat shirts for about $10. The closest one to WDW is the Premium Outlet Mall. If you take a cab from DTD it will be about $6 ... if you take a cab from PC it might be closer to $20 (I'm just guessing since it was $15 from CBR). For some of my relatives I bought them stationary and others I purchased a 3 can coffee set, split them up and paired them with coffee mugs. You can also get mouse ear hats and have them personalized... I think the cost is around $10 or so.

And you probably won't want to spend an entire day shopping......

I would take that cab from DTD to Orlando Premier Outlet Mall, the savings in themselves would warrant that expense!

Or if you want to rent a car for the day, you could, at the Car Care Centre.

But I would just head over to the Orlando Premier Outlet mall for an afternoon.

Happy Shopping!

Does anyone know how close the closest Old Navy is? We love to shop there (I know not a souvenir place) and are about 8 hours away from the closest one since we moved. Thanks.

store (Old Navy) at the Lake Buena Vista Outlets. Its a little bit further away then the other mall mentioned but there is a Character Corner there (disney outlet ). I know they have a website but I don't have the link. I'm sure if you do a search you will find a link.

By the way i have a strange question for you Northern Mom. Are you by chance a poster from the Today's Parent forums? Your questions are similar to someone over there. If you are just to let you know so am I .

Nancy:)

Ahh I thought so. By the way I'm nancy13 over there. I believe I have answered you over there before. Are your kids getting excited about the trip? We are , we leave in about 10 days.

I'm going a little crazy though:crazy2: between trying to "plan" the disney trip and figure out what dh and I are doing for our 10th anniverary in Nov. Good thing I don't work as vacation planning has become a full time job lately. I bought the Passporter book for disney and it is great, very useful. We just want to see and do as much as possible and not spend a fortune on food.

Where are you staying again?

Pop Century. By the way i found my list of the choices we get for "wishes" with the Dream Maker at Par. Did you still want to know what they are?

You'll have to promise to let me know all about your trip either here or at TP when you get back. Especially what you thought of the hotel.

Hello all, my son want's to get a mickey mouse waffle maker, do you know where I can purchase one and how much it costs.

Thanks a bunch

We both work in Child care and when we go to WDW we like to bing back a little something for the kids...we have got Mickey stickers, and some cool mickey head straws. We didn't have to pay for either of them, and they supplied us with enough for both of our centres (a total of 100 kids). They were awesome about giving us things. Some things I bring back for friends are named keychains, and pens. We usually bring back some type of food thing for our co-workers (eg. chocolate covered pretzels, salt water taffy, cookies etc).
Good luck!

There's a store in DTD called Disney at Home that sells them. I don't remember the exact price but I think they were about $60-$80. You can also buy them online through the Disney Store. It should be in the section for houseware items.
