Southwest's schedule past 3/8/13

Right now Southwest is only booking through March 8, 2013. I need to book the week of the 11th. Anyone know when that might open up? I want to try to jump on it when it first opens hoping to get a decent fare.

I am waiting for August 27th as well. Do you know what time they load the fares in? Hoping to snag some airfare for $300.00 R/T a person.....SW had that at Xmas when they first released, here's hoping it is the same for spring break!

Lately schedule extensions have become available at 7am eastern time. The one recent exception was when the schedule extension occurred on a Sunday. In that case it became available mid to late morning, somewhere between 10am and 11am eastern time if I remember correctly.

Since Aug 27th is a Monday, I would plan to be online ready to book at 7am eastern time (6am central time).

Thanks for the info everyone. Hoping they will have decent fares when they first open up, but who knows. Seeing it's Spring Break. I sure would like to get something reasonable right away rather than play the check every day game.

I'm glad I noticed this thread! I was under the impression the new SW fares would come out Sept. 10th - didn't know they were fiddling with the release dates.

We leave March 8th and got our 1-way nonstop fare on Air Tran and are waiting for SW (and AirTran) to see about a nonstop flight home! It would be great to get the air set before our 180 day ADR date (Sept. 9th)!

Yes, Aug 27 FOR NOW but they changed it to Sept 10th at one point, then back again. I am checking every day to make sure they don't change the dates on us again!

YEP!! Airtran has already released fares, so that makes me think SW must be holding to the Aug 27th date! Airtran is pricey though, I hope SW isn't as high!

I just noticed this too. If I go through Orbitz or Travelocity, Airtran's prices are cheap, but on Airtran's website they are outragous. I hope they come down tomorrow.

I hope they come down too, because I like Airtran's schedule better. But DH likes the no fee for bags and it's liberal rescheduling policy.

Hooray! AirTran updated their fares on their site now to the lower $165, and we officially have flights there and back!

The fares are quite a bit higher than the last time we went (~200 round trip instead of each way), but so be it I guess.

Now just on the final approach to our 180 day ADR date!
