Southwest: What time do tix go on sale?

Looking to book for April on 10/3. What time have they been opening up the tickets for sale recently? TIA

Typically the morning of the day they are released. Between 7 and 10 CST.

The last two times it was early, 6am eastern time if I remember correctly.

ETA: Just looked at my confirmation email from SWA from back in March and it is timestamped 6:18am so at least for that round it was 6am eastern time.

Yes it was really early last year at this time. I remember logging in early ( 630 am) and they were all ready on sale! A lot of seats were all ready booked for my dates but it was school vaca week as well as Easter time.

Is there usually a significant price difference? Right now, from KC all flights between January-April are $148 one way. The flights in October-December can be found out $99. Just trying to figure out if me being up at 5AM is going to be worth it.

I would LOVE $99 flights!!!!

As the PPs noted, it hasn't been that late for quite some time. The last several times I purchased SWA tix the fares have been out at around 5 a.m. ET.

So it sounds like 5 a.m. ET (which would be 4 a.m. CT where SWA HQ is) has been the earliest time of the recent releases? I seem to recall it consistently being around 10 a.m. ET, but sounds like that's changed?
