Southwest Splendors ?

We are looking at booking this trip and wondered if anyone had gone on it. We are looking for next summer and we will be traveling with our then 16, 14, 13 and 9 year old. Any helpful information, ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated! This would be our first ABD. Thanks lot!

Heheheh. Has anybody been on Southwest Splendors? I absolutely have! And *LOVED* it. Please read my Trip Report (see my signature or the sticky at the top of this forum) for LOADS of pictures, details and impressions!

Feel free to ask any & all questions! I'll answer what I can. There are several people here that have taken this tour, who I am sure will chime in also!

It's one of the best vacations I've ever taken. I'm a bit prejudiced, but I think it's one of the best itineraries ABD has! (And that's saying a lot!)

Thank you sayhello! I just searched the forums and read your whole trip report. What amazing pictures! Did you do an adults only tour or did you just luck out with no kiddos? It looks like my children would LOVE this trip. I would definately be in the chicken boat and go around the rough parts of the rapids! Was the hike to the delicate arch hard? We're not physically unfit but we have never done any hiking. What time of year did you go? I'm thinking 2nd to 3rd week of June. Thanks for your help!

You're welcome, brewcrew! Thanks about the pictures. I was thrilled with how they turned out.

It was unintentionally an Adults Only trip. I went in early May, and I imagine that it was the fact that school was still in session that did that. This year, that week was specifically designated as an Adults Only trip.

EVERYBODY enjoyed the rafting, even those in the "chicken" boat. So do whatever you're comfortable with.

kristielew is on the Southwest Splendors tour starting this weekend, so she can give you a better idea of June weather when she gets back.
