I was really starting to worry that we were going to have to reconsider our trip and finally, the prices have dropped. I am buying 4 tickets from PHL and 3 tickets From OKC. They have been in the $250 to $260 price range each way. Now the PHL tickets are down to $99 and the OKC tickets are down to $169. So relieved! :cool1:

I was in the same sitituation as you.. We booked going out Airtran for $84 and coming home southwest $89 when we 1st decided we were going. Well then we decided we wanted to stay an extra day. And of course southwest was up to $120 or more so we kept watching til finally yesterday it dropped to $99 and we didnt care it was just a few dollars more. We are also from the philly area.

You all are giving me hope! I need tickets for late Oct out of PHL and the cheapest SW flights are $188 one way--the other way is about $215. Really wanted something cheaper. Wonder how long I can safely wait to buy?

We got Wed flights in late Aug and late Sept on SWA for $78 & 79. Of course the Sunday return is much higher, so we switched to USAirways: $165 in early Sept and $116 in early Oct. not too bad.

That's a great price. That's more what I'm hoping for, so I'll cross my fingers for something better!
