Southwest Sale, purchase 6-13 to 6-15-2023

Saw this. Was going to cancel our October trip. But now might go down on a Wednesday afternoon, catch the party on Thursday and fly home Friday. That way we're not out as much, and we can afford do that. With the savings the roundtrip was going to be under $200 each. And we have flight credits for $100. So really, it'd cost us $100 each round trip. Hard to beat that, although it is on Southwest. We've had trouble with them each of the last 3 trips. So we were going to go to American this time. But it's $350 roundtrip each on American. Our entire trip will probably cost $800-$1k if we go Southwest. It'd be probably $1500 if we go American.

That's a really great sale. I'm not sure if I'm ready to pull the airfare trigger on my September trip though.

Ugh. I waited too long to book and the airfare that was $69 at 5:00 crept up tp $114 at 10:30. Oh well, I booked directly back home to MSN with AA instead of into ORD and taking the bus home The savings into ORD had been $90 (and the same time) but the increase of airfare ate that all up.

Now I’m flying right back home and I’m fine with it but still a little honked off the airfare skyrocketed in 4 hours.
