Does anyone know if you can redeem 8 rapid rewards for a one way ticket or do you have to wait to accumulate 16 rapid reward credits and get a roundtrip ticket only? I have 8 and need a one way ticket. TIA!

I have used my RR on a one way ticket because I could not use my rewards on the return flight my DH and kids would be on.

You don't get rewarded the free flight until you accumulate the 16 credits. So, no.

Once you accumulate the 16 credits, you will get an email that says the RR ticket has been deposited in your account. YOu can check under "Awards" if you log into your Southwest RR account

You don't get a rewards ticket until you've accumulated 16 points, but you can use 8 points toward a 1-way ticket.

As a PP said, you have to accumulate 16 RR in order to get a free flight but you can use just 8 of them for a one-way flight.

Basically once you get to 16 credits, you are awarded two one-way reward coupons each of which can be used for one-way travel (or together for roundtrip).
