Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa Card

Does it really take 6-8 weeks for the 50,000 points to be posted to your account\? I received the card already, made a purchase and the end of my billing cycle is the 26th. When should I expect to see the points in my account so I can make an airfare reservation?

It may show up on the bottom of your cc statement when it comes after the 26th. Mine took about 4 weeks, but I enrolled right before the billing cycle ended. Hopefully it should be this cycle for you!

I have recieved my 1st statement and the points are are on the bottom. It says # of points sent to southwest rewards.

I just looked and they are on my rapid rewards account.

Mine were in my Rapid Rewards account the day after my billing cycle ended. It was around 11 am before they showed up...I was starting to get nervous, but then they appeared!

This may not be the right place to ask this question but I need to know how to do something using my SW Visa. I have read where some people pay a lot of their monthly bills through the SW card for the added rewards. And then just pay it off after it post. I have been paying my bills online for years through my bank. Never through cc. I just signed on Chase SW and see no way to pay bills from there . So, what I need to know is how are you doing it?? I need to do this to build my rewards back up some. 5 of us just flew round trip to Disney free and would love to do it again!!
Any help will be appreciated.

I use my SW Visa to pay any bill that will accept payment by credit card. You would have to go to each company's website and pay them directly. I am able to pay my water bill, cable/internet bill, cell phone bill and fund my daughter's school lunch account with my SW Visa. The bills that I can't pay via credit card are my mortgage,car insurance and my electric bill.
Obviously this would only be practical if you are paying off the entire balance each month. Any miles earned would not compensate for paying interest on a balance.

I called them yesterday and my billing cycle ends the 21st so hopefully soon after that I will have my rewards!

If you didn't enter a RR member number on your application for the credit card, then they will assign you one. But you will have to call them to find out what it is. SWA takes a long time to send out the actual RR membership package.

My billing cycle ended the 16th, and my rewards were in my account today!!!!!

I think DH's were added to his account a few days after his billing cycle ended. This offer helped save us a ton of money! It says enough points for 2 plane tickets, but we actually had enough to purchase all three of our tickets and only had and overage of $15.
