Kansas City to Orlando - SWA
We are planning on flying from KC to Orlando in early May.

I've been watching fares on South West because I was
sure they would be going down more.

However, that didn't work.

I've seen them go from around 176 to 191 to now 218 rt.

Do you think they will go down lower than the current 218?
(SOON)

Does anyone ever notice SW's trends in pricing?

What days other than Tuesday do they release new specials?

Not sure about KC, but I just booked SW from Phila to Orlando 5/14-5/22 and I'm paying $79 plus tax each way. I thought that was a pretty good deal because every other airline was booking at $211 rt. This may just be a promotional thing because SW is just starting to fly out of Phila in May. Good luck!

I know. I know.

I could kick myself for being so greedy. I should of booked
when we had those rates.

My dates seem to have plenty of openings open so I wonder if they will go back down to those again?

I would sign up for the email notices for Click and Save. Every Tuesday to Thursday SWA runs some promos. You may already know this. I wouldn't wait too much longer to book flights. Also SWA is really good about crediting you travel money if your flights decrease in cost. You don't get money back, but then you might just have to fly to Orlando again!

They might go down. I'm not that familiar with SW but I have been watching the prices out of Philly over the last few weeks and have seen changes up and down on certain routes. I think they update their site on Tuesdays.

I am not sure about their rates either however, we are going to DW in July - flying from New Orleans to Tampa and out of Orlando back to New Orleans. I got rates of $74 to Tampa and $76 from Orlando to NO.

I looked at the rates a few weeks ago, before they were booking into July, and the rates were about $119, so when I saw they were booking July and the rates were so low, I jumped on it.

Good luck!

I just don't get SW this year. I have been looking for a good rate for months and I haven't seen anything all the way through June. I finally decided just to book my flight and if it went down, I would cancel and rebook and keep the credit. Thank goodness I did this, because our rate just went up another $25!

Jet fuel is sky high, travel is now resuming, I doubt they are going to feel the need to lower their fares and lose money.

I booked our May 14-23 flights the day they became available. They had the $79 promotion then and I know from flying SW that price wouldn't go lower for the month of May. Looking at the site now those fares are no longer available. :(

The best deal I've gotten with Southwest was last September. I booked our flight for $59 and the next week they went down to $49 and they gave me a credit for the difference. I'm sure it depends on the time of year, September is a slow travel month. May is a peak time.
