I have a question about Southwest, but first some details about my flights. I'll be flying out of Providence to Orlando in 2 weeks. I've flown many times on Southwest so I know about the A,B & C boarding passes. I've always flown Southwest with just a carry on bag, but this time my family will be travelling and we will have luggage to check in. I will be printing the boarding passes from home before the flight down, and will have a friend print them from home before I fly back. Now, my questions are:

1. When I fly back, I know I will have to reprint the boarding passes since my friend will be doing it from home. Do I go to a kiosk and print them up and then get in line to check my luggage, or do I have to wait the line for the check in counter and have them re-print them. Any Idea how this works in the Orlando airport.

2. Does Providence and/or Orlando have curb side check in, and should I do this if they have it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

MCO has new self serve kiosks where they used to check you in. You enter your boarding # and can get tags to check in your bags. In MCO you get tags put on but then have to take them down to the security screening area (about 100 ft down from the checkin area) Someone who helps out with these checkin terminals should be able to show you how to reprint your passes. They are very helpful.

If you check-in curbside, sometime the line is long and it is hot out there. You also have to tip them. Now if money is no option then do curbside. We usually have 5-6 bags so going to the desk inside isn't bad enough to pay the extra $10.

On your return flight your friend doesn't need to print the passes, he/she can just check you in and you can get the passes at the airport. If you have a cell phone with internet access you can also check in on your phone at mobile.southwest.com, all you need is your confirmation number!

Thank you for the help. How would my friend be able to just check me in...is it easy to find on the Southwest web site. Also, would it hurt if he did print out the passes and I reprinted them. Thanks

No it won't hurt if he prints them out but he doesn't have to .

The check-in part is done right before it ask you to print them.

At the Koisk or ticket line there is a button to reprint when you enter your Confirm # or tell the agent you need a reprint.

I used the Cell phone method the other night on BTMRR que line at 8:00 in the evening for 3 different ressie's with no problem.

Went right to the agent ask for reprint then checked all of our bags .

SW makes it real simple to do.

So, if I had my son go on-line at home and check my confirmation # in, I could then print my boarding passes at the kiosk. Right? :confused3
