Feeling very silly on this one. I haven't flown without checked bags in years and have only flown Southwest once.

Flying later this month for a quick weekend. We will only be bringing carry-ons.
If we check-in/print boarding passes (do have EBCI) at T-24, do we need to do anything at the airport, or can we simply head to security?

Really, really do feel this is a dumb question. I think my brain is frozen from shoveling snow.

Just go straight to security.

Also, since you paid for ECBI, there's no need to stress about printing your BPs at T-24. You can have them printed at a kiosk at MCO near the SWA counter. It's a very easy touch screen device and I've never seen a line at them.

I dont know where they are at for MCO, but I'll sure have to look for them :). Also I dont think all airports have them away from the normal check in line. So at that point, you would want to print them out, you just dont have to do it right at t-24 with EBCI

At MCO, if you're facing the SWA counter and the line to check bags, look to your right, and there will be several. :thumbsup2
I've never used one at other airports so not certain they all have them.

So if I check in 24hrs prior to my return trip, I will be at WDW when I check in (on a blackberry) so I cannot print my boarding passes.

Do I just print my boarding passes at the airport once I get there?? or is that something they can do for me at the hotel? We are at the BC so there is no RAC available for Southwest and we will have 5 people and all our luggage...

We flew jetblue last trip and the last time i flew southwest I was alone w/no kids and one bag... never had to worry before!

I'm guessing if i can't print at WDW then I just get on the bag check in line at MCO and the agent will print my boarding pass, right?

You can get them printed at guest services at any hotel or park, also Downtown Disney. I would not wait until you get to MCO, the line for the kiosks are very long.
