Hi-
My friend just booked her trip and included ME. She will be flying on Southwest.
She said she waas told she did not need to pick up her bags. Is this true?
I thought SW fliers had to pick up their own luggage.

Thanks!

We use Southwest too. When you arrive in Orlando, you DO NOT have to pick up your bags. You can just get on the ME bus and go to your resort and your bags will be delivered.

Coming home is a different story. You can still use ME, but you have to take your bags on the bus with you and then transport them from the bus when you get to the airport. In November, after we checked out, we had CSR hold our bags and then retrieved them when we were ready to board the ME bus to go to the airport.

Southwest flyers have to take their luggage on the bus on the trip BACK to the airport.

It doesn't matter what airline for the inbound portion.

Think of Magical Express and Resort Airline Check-In as two separate services.

Magical Express gets you to your resort and back to the airport and brings you your luggage to your room.

Resort Airline Check-In can give you your boarding passes and check your luggage for certain airlines for your trip home.

Thanks so much!
I always rent a car so I wasn't sure.

I'll let her know what to expect.

I love to fly with Southwest.
