I dont think that sounds that horrible. We wanted to go in March this year and it was close to $500 round trip so we went in January instead. Usually we end up paying between $250-$350. We fly from upstate NY.Flying from Maine to Orlando....12/10 - 12/14 and both ways are $175! On par with other airlines! We never get decent prices from Maine! I could drive 1.5 hours to Manchester and fly direct for $125. But it's such a hassle and then add parking fees we'd be spending about the same!
Have fun planning!I have $1220 in credits I have to spend by 12/6...I am enjoying planning the possibilities this morning![]()
Thank you for posting! I just booked for our conference in December. I paid 14,852 RR points for RT PHL <-> MCO for myself and my husband is on my Companion Pass. Cash price was $125 per leg, so $250 pp + fees if I were paying OOP.I am happy we are going down on 11/5 so I booked our trip today. Got $148 down and $98 return!

I don't know why I thought that they would be adding my dates in July. If you hadn't posted, I would not have been looking for my airfare for the trip yet.
I have $544 and was just daydreaming about how to use itI have $1220 in credits I have to spend by 12/6...I am enjoying planning the possibilities this morning![]()

I I I guess it depends where you are coming from and what you are used to paying. For us the least expensive per leg has been $89 abd the most has been $189. I guess that's why I was satisfied with what we got. Plus I had enough points for the whole trip saved and I fly free on my husbands companion pass until the end of the year.We are also flying down 11/5. Prices were higher than I expected so I only purchased 5/8 tickets I needed since I ran out of points. I paid $138 each way. I was going to transfer my chase rewards points to southwest and get one more but the prices went up to $165 within like 20 minutes.
Will be watching closely for prices drops and trying to earn some points quickly.
I know, I am not thrilled about going during Jersey week, but we have gone this week before. Our son also has two days off from school - so thats why we like to go then although we arent from Jersey. I am also looking forward to Food & Wine Festival!I booked at 6am as soon as they released the schedule and got $130 each way from Newark. It's jersey week and all the other airlines' prices are currently outrageous, so I was thrilled with $260 RT.
Holiday fares will always be outrageous. There's just no getting around that. It's a matter of supply and demand. Have you considered other airlines? You may find that they are not as expensive as the Southwest flights, although selecting your seats in advance and paying for checked bags might eat up the savings.Trying to book for Christmas. The WGA fares from Dallas are outrageous! It will be over $400 per person!! We fly SWA all the time, multiple times per year. Never expected such high fares on initial roll out. Fingers crossed the WGA fares drop!
