Southwest flight release dates

southwest is currently accepting air reservations through April 7, 2019. On September 27, 2018 they will open the schedule for sale through June 8, 2019.
Does anyone know what month the next release date will be after the September one, & how far out it would go?

I just checked the schedule because I need to book flights for a May trip. It said that they release the flight schedule on Nov. 15 for flights through June 7. They typically release flights about 5 months out.

I got on at 5:40 AM central last week and they were already up.

Usually between 6-7am EST. I've had it be as late as 9am EST before though, so it can vary.

Wow, lots of talk on the SW thread about the next release date. JessicaW1234 you were right! The release date is 9/23 for flights to 6/8. They had 2 different dates on their website. The September date is correct! I always thought they released their flights 5-6 months in advance, but this Sept date is throwing me! Once 9/23 comes they will post the next release date so you will know for sure then.

Sorry, you have the wrong date in September. It is the 27th, not the 23rd. It is correct in JessicaW1234’s post.

Sorry, just wanted to clarify for anyone reading. Don’t want people sitting there refreshing for hours waiting for new dates!
