Southwest flight change

My points are now available for signing up for the promotional credit card, of course their most recent sale ended a few days ago...

If I book now and a sale comes out, can I get some of my points back?

Right now we will be flying into one airport and flying out of another. Do you know what their rules are on changing flights completely? If we decide to change airports?

I just called Southwest and thought I would share the answers I got.

When using my points I can pretty much make any changes I want, any time I want, on line with no penalties. I can change dates, times or even airports. I think that is so awesome!

That is nice - especially in this day and age when it costs you $150 with most airlines to change/cancel existing flights... I had to pay that much to cancel a flight with FF miles on American this summer and it just about killed me! Ugh! I hate inflated fees! I commend SWA for their loyalty to their customers in not ripping them off!!!!

Plus the points just go back to your account and are not attached to a specific person's name like cash credits are.

I signed up last spring and booked & used tickets over the summer. The fare price did go down so I rebooked just like I used to when I paid cash. Instead of a credit the points were just deposited back into my account and there is no expiration date like with a credit! Really easy!

I am finding I am able to rack up points so much faster with this card than my Disney Visa or my Discover. It's dollar for dollar here plus bonuses with certain restaurants and of course when you book SWA tickets. Disney is only 1% and Discover was only like 0.25% for the first $3000 per cycle or something ridiculous!
